Sometimes I feel that no matter what I say, what facts I give, or argument I make, nothing will change their minds or lead them to believe they are wrong.

Your comment is a perfect example of why XBox doesn't sell in other countries. Matter of fact, that's the same attitude that XBox launched with that lost them so many potential customers and marketshare.

I keep trying to tell everyone. He has a "good thing to say about Sony" quota that he uses the say he's not a fanboy when someone calls him out on his nonsense. His comments are usually cringeworthy praise for MS, with the obligatory and occasional light praise for Sony, or the fact that he "owns" both systems.
I would never use Metacritic as a gauge to wether or not I would purchase a game..
What Metacritic DOES do is compile an average score based off critics and users to forma score that shows how many people gave it a high score.

Then you would also know that they close down studios, they don't like to take risks with new IPs, they generally have low scoring/low selling exclusives which further keeps them from wanting to take risks and make new games, and their track record also shows that they barely release games throughout the year except maybe a couple during the holidays...

XBox is a division of MS. They don't get unlimited amounts of that Microsoft moneyzz.
They are alloted certain amounts of money for the XBox division based on their yearly performance. Which means: less sales = less money given to the XBox division.
They are allotted a certain amount towards advertising and game development.
So MS may have $$billions$$ of moneyz...
Well that's going to happen regardless. XBox is the inferior console in both the "graphics" department and games department, so it wouldn't surprise me if your "theory" does happen.
