GOW3 in 2010?
That means Gran Turismo 5 confirmed for 2009....
Also of note:
Software sales worldwide are up nearly 60%
One of those polarising games - personally i loved it. The sheer amount of time you could take going to find all the side quests etc was brilliant.
The only prob was the level cap, but thats raised in future DLC.
Indeed. Have we had any DLC from any game yet that has been worth it?
Sony have provided preliminary data showing an expected profit in Q3 of 10bill yen ($11 mill). They have also adjusted their FY08 expected loss at end of March to be 150bill yen ($1.67bill) due predominantly to economic conditions.
- they have maintained the PS3 sales forecast in FY08 (March 08 - March 09) at 10mill units. They believe the PS3 will hit this sales target
- they have reduced the sales targets for PSP to 15 mill (down 1 mill) and PS2 to 8 mill (down 1 m...
Don't drink XXXX?
Bah here in Qld it comes out of the kitchen tap...:)
If we use the same crap ass data from VGChartz as this site has done, they have LBP at close to 2 million sold and resistance 2 at 1 million. Hardly flops
Its exactly the same as when Tekken6 or FFXIII went multiplat. The MS fanboys crowing over other Sony franchises they can steal was deafening. Most people can't afford 2 systems so justification of their system of choice is normal and completely frustrating.
As for L4D, Gabe and Valve have both labelled the PS3 a waste of time. Fanboys don't like devs sh*tting on their console. The game, however, is universally well-liked by everyone enough so that the hatred toward Valve won't...
Before even considering this, it comes down to who the IP belongs to. You must remember two points:
If the IP belongs to Bioware/EA:
(i) EA will port ME1 and make ME2 and ME3 mulitplat, without a shadow of a doubt.
(ii) To keep exclusivity, Microsoft will need to pay up EA's projected PS3 profits of ME1 + ME2 + ME3. Well over $250mill (est). Try explaining that to your fans when that amount of money = the budget for 10 AAA games.

Firstkn1ght, congratulations, you have gained a level. You are now Level 50 - GAMER. You have unlocked a treasure trove of gaming experiences for you to enjoy.
Now will the rest of you hurry the f*ck up and level up too
For the love of God and everything holy in this world will you Yanks stop thinking that US = world.
Tough call. For me GOW3, but its because the previous iterations were superb and this is the last time we see Kratos running around. Either way though, I'm getting them both this year.
@Crab
What major markets? US? UK? Most of the world (and majority of market size) left over. Oh you use the caveat "that matter". Oh that makes it alright then doesn't it?
LBP sales 1.7 mill in 2008.
Colour me impressed.
Anyway, Boku or Kodu or whatever...now with more ACTUAL 12 yr old girl!
So now we know who bought that 1 copy in last months NBD...
Since when is the sales of a console spoiling your game time? Look at that list of exclusive games in 2009. Then look at the list of third party releases in 2009, all but a few are coming to PS3. Look at the number of Blu-ray titles due for release next year. If you can't find at least a half dozen reasons not to be looking forward to this years offerings, you are not a gamer and should hand in your f*cking badge and gtfo.
Seriously, if you are THAT concerned about sales figures,...
Because not all faulties go back directly to MS. A large percentage are returned to store where they replace out of inventory. This is replaced come shipment time adding one to the official "sold" figure.
Trine is also 100% PS3 exclusive
Can it succeed at all? Not with reviews like these:
Official XBox360 Feb mag: 6/10
Hardcore Gamer online: 2.25/5

I'd be more concerned about letting the game fade into obscurity.
