Just my opinion. Take it or leave it. If u r into those types of games then enjoy and game on. But those titles don't appeal to me as a gamer
Exclusives r realistically probably the biggest factor in gaming. Exclusives help people decide what console u get because u know that u can get multiplats on everything. Exclusive also breed competition which in turn makes the competitors better. I love exclusives
Alot of indies, unannounced rumoured games, niche titles and vita ports in that list. Don't get me wrong, if that's what u r into then the next few years should be good for u on ps4. But for me personally that is a dry list
At the start of the gen I would agree with this comment but the install times r vastly improved since the new UI has been released. If its taking 6 hours for u to get a 12.5gb update that's an issue for your ISP not the xbox
Which console should u buy? Which ever one u feel will give u the best experience. If u r in a position to get both then I highly recommend doing that so u can have the best of both worlds

I can't c it taking off. It will have good sales initially because its new and shiny but these things tend to get old fast. What concerns me is the amount of money that Sony is pumping into this thing and taking away from making the big AAA titles I am used to getting from Sony. I brought a ps4 for its exclusive AAA titles and with the exception of Uncharted there isn't much I'm looking forward to from them this year. I'm not sure that Gimmick is the right word for it tho. Agreed. Nintendo is the most defined by its 1st party out of the 3 console manufacturers. But I didn't feel I got burned by the Wii U. I brought it expecting a Nintendo gaming experience and I felt I got it more or less. They did screw up with the tablet tho
They did have 3rd party support and the start of the Wii U life cycle but no one brought the games on that system. If u r a Nintendo gamer u tend to want a certain type of gaming experience and CoD and Assassins creed isn't it. I will say that Nintendo needs to expand there 1st party ideas and stop recycling games and characters from the Mario and Zelda universe but people just wont buy big multiplats on a Nintendo system. Especially if they r invested in either the xbox or PS eco systems...
I personally think that they should make the Wii U more appealing to the consumer and ride it out and release the NX with the next xbox and PS. But that's just my opinion
I don't pre order software anymore but I will pre order hardware that I think may be in high demand. I pre ordered the Xbox Elite controller on a hunch and I'm glad I did

SSoD was exclusive because MS was willing to let Insomniac games keep the rights to the IP. They went to Sony and Sony demanded that insomniac sell them the IP first.
U make it sound like I was some underhanded, secret squirrel stuff. MS made an offer and SE accepted. Been done a million times over the years in the gaming industry. But MS is a big evil corporation so they must have blackmailed and torchered SE into taking their money right?

Isnt this what they said about the Wii U? I enjoy the Wii U but I think what Nintendo needs right now is a traditional no frills console to gain back the user base they have lost over the past 3 years
