The kz shadow fall mp weekend req a 49gb download (which is the full game), ....that's a lot! This streaming idea is still not going to replace physical media if your talking games.

It's Valves console for your tv. It isn't really another console....I believe it's digital download only. That alone will limit its wide acceptance.

Valve's steambox is not going to have a $500 million ad campaign like MS. Sony loses a lot of ground in the US precisely because MS choke Xbox brand down our throats.
Historically, the market for consoles does not support 4 brands.
Valve will not have nearly the AAA titles because the studios are owned outright by Nintendo, Sony & MS to a lesser degree.
I do however see apple as valves biggest hurdle. Both have huge libraries of ok...
With all the horsepower and room on bluray (earlier titles were constrained by 360 limitations)......no reason why we can't get a pure rally racer with modes for crash derby & stunts. Short races, long races.
Reality is this stuff is already really good - just get Codie's to up their game and create something truly special.

A lot of sites are payed shills. Bf4 got great reviews - but they were undeserved.
Now the checks have all cleared and bf4 has had steady "testing" and it's functionally garbage. Sites can't ignore this any longer.

Inform us! Serious. I need to know how steam works. How it would handle say cod? Is it p2p? Servers offloaded to publisher? In house steam servers?
Are games going to remain $10 cheaper? Is it all digital download? How am I going to buy 2-3 games a month that are 45gbs+ a piece? No trading games? Or did steam ever make that functional?

Wii was an anomaly. And large portion of those gamers were casuals. Buying 1-3 games for the initial purchase and never bothering with the console again except for house parties.
I have no idea if your numbers are legit. But they do not jive with the lamentation of core gamers who bought into the Wii at launch. From review sites to forum posts the console was a casual machine.
