I think most were underwhelmed by the gameplay after its 5 year silence. Its almost shocking alan wake is still icecold as far as news goes on n4g. Shocking, but not surprising.
Looks fun definitely, but it remedy didn't show off some amazing second to none game engine with physics/day night time cycle etc which is what Wake was supposed to be based...

On another note, I thought the Naughty guy was nervous at first when he showed the game.. but he was just plain confident.
Uncharted2 looks phenomenal. Whats shocking is how much more amazing U2 looks than U1.

Installs are used on the PS3 by developers that aren't as talented as Sony's first party. But even some third party developers manage to do without it. The logic of slow bluray speeds is silly as a measurement when its proven to be able to stream load just fine. The reason for installs is...
We saw all working demos at E3 for different types of games. Strategy/fps/tps.
I cant see any more functionality down the line that I didn't see at e3 for game development. It was pretty impressive and the 1:1 response was sick.
Everyone is pretending motion controls is the new way, but lets see what developers actually leap out and make a MotionRPG/Shooter. Because all developers this generation care about, and its sad. Is $$$. $$ isn't in motion control games unles...

Its not even a question of the PS3's hardware, because again (laundry list of exclusives, and multiplatform games running normally) prove it other wise. Which is why there is no confusion to anyone with sense.

Its the best game out right now. Has a ton of secrets/perks to do with actual ingame benefits. The Stealth Suit/bandana etc.
I understand trophies for things like... PAIN and blah title 6. But MGS4 is amazing every time you pickup the controller and installlllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllllllllllllllllllll l llllllllllllllllllllllll then play.
I dont understand how you guys can act like you love MGS so much, yet wont play it again just for fun?

But Microsoft launching a year early, is hardly a defeat for the overpriced PS3. Which is selling as fast, faster in regions.And unlike the lead/demolition the PS2 had, the 360 doesn't have the appeal or the ability to crush Sonys gaming division. Remedy didn't show any progress they've made since the 2005 trailer.. Which showed huge worlds, weather, physics, water.. They showed 1 night time sequence.
With a flashlight.
I want alan wake, but 5 years and nothing on the level of the first trailer...is confusing. They didn't show any story points either. Just an odd demo that was nothing like the 2005 trailer.
