Not only were there excuses for the graphics saying "well its because its a sandbox.. thats why it doesn't break any new ground or look like Uncharted" Remedy ran up against the reality of the 360, and now they have removed the sandbox portion from the game, which I imagine is a re-write of an entire engine, and it still didn't get any nods at e3. more than likely because this was the version they've only been working on the mechanics recently, not the PC-Tech demo version from 2005...
the media aint behind sony this gen. They only give out 9's when they must to appear legit.
They look great. The vehicles don't look plastic, the interior is actually casting shadows, the texture detail down to things like stitching/carbon fiber is also pretty impressive.
The one thing i see lacking is depth of field which is why the BG vehicles are standing out like sore thumbs, but from the in-dash view, its looking great. Foliage is casting shadows, not just a "dark area" for the shadow. It seems like they are going for photorealism like Gran Turismo. And t...

yeah... Autodesk knows nothing about software development... ;-)
XP64 & Fedora core are benchmarked running software like the foundrys nuke & digital fusion faster than Vista/Windows7. Doesn't make any financial sense to upgrade when there is no benefit that outweighs the time to upgrade.
Keep waving that flag though.. one day millions of people will convert from XP to windows 8! lol. Im sure you use IE instead of Firefox as well..
I frankly have...
We all still use it in the film industry along with forms of linux. no one is bothering with Vista because its terrible garbage that really does nothing outside of letting you play crysis. I doubt we are all going to re-write everything to work from XP64 to 7 or 8 as well.
XP is the last great software from Microsoft.
-_-
as far as a resident evil game goes..
as far as yet another dumb shooter with co-op? It did very well! But re5 could have been any "horror" game. had no Re spirit at all, or strategy even.
But F3 has no weather/night cycles.. or did i just hear that?
Are there more cars than 8 for a 24 hour race, because it says you can use different classes...
They could make it, look at the newest Resident Evil wii game, looks better than most multiplats to begin with. RE5 didn't exactly have hordes of 1000 zombies on screen, or even sick dynamics.. its pretty safe to say it could be done with better controls on the Wii.
The hardcore audience doesn't seem to be there for the Wii though.
I'll be damned if providing the best hardware & the best games is the downfall for a company. Which has always been sonys stance. If the PS3 was the "downfall" of sony, as per your non-ceo/cfo/harvard trained opinion dictates, then they wouldn't continue in the gaming industry with things like 2000 PSP models, or PS2 models.
You're just hopping on the "SONY IS DOOOOOOMED" bandwagon, although its a little late.. the Ps3 has been "doomed" since lau...
Its what happens when you save the world from evil!
jk,
Look at your post history...
I mean...
Look at it...
This article is dumbsss
They are still amazed by the Source engine & Unreal technology from 2002.
They are still using DVD's folks... and paying how much for batteries & HDD upgrades.
Games can't run in HD.. they can't even get 9 cars on a track at once for their top franchises...
and oh yeah, alan wake has a flashlight...
o_o
Don't start to preach to me about 1942. I played it 7 years ago, when it was new. Its an arcade game(PSN/XBlA), not many people are going to give up their retail purchases to play BF1942 with destructible trees. -_-
lol , even when sony wins as it did in 2008... the media finds some spin to fool people into thinking getting 2 games at the end of the year > than an entire year..
Just like 2009 is shaping up to be..
PS3 delivers better gaming all year, but it will be eclipsed by Forza3 & Splinter cell. The media will of course forget Race Pro, Velvet Assasins, Ninja Blade, Prototype[you know why i put it here]. And you can take that, to the bank...
does it have 32 players+? because BF1943 will be empty without a huge amount of people on the map.
- Painting
- engine swaps
- Tire flexing
Forza3 is NOT the first console game to include Tire Flex.. Need for speed shift already has it. They hired the programmer from the best PC rally racer to program for the title as well.
Who do you think started partnerships with tire companies in the first place? It wasn't forza.
Pretending that undercarriage modeling has anything to do with a driving simulator is just pedestrian.
Forza3 l...
