Bayonetta just didnt' appeal to the general PS3 audience. Even if it ran that 5% better on the PS3, theres this thing called God Of War 3 that people have been looking forward to for years.
It just came out of nowhere, and was an oversexed generic blah of a title.
When you start it, or just see the screens, even video. You just think "Meh, been there,done that."
But once you take a dive into the game, it really reeks of atmosphere and personality. The design is amazing, its beautifully done. Although completely monochromatic, there is a great sense of depth. Things like the water reflecting/refracting with simple glimmers is just one of those little things that completes the picture.

Supporting scored reviews gives these guys some sort of credit for playing videogames, as we all do. We now know there ARE fanboys out there, and that they do work for these gaming sites, they have clear bias, and are often found contradicting their reviews by ignoring things in 1 xbox360 game, and highlighting it in 1 ps3 game.

The PS3 will pass the 360 when its discontinued due to its short sighted specifications. Until then, PS3 owners are just stuck with good games, and Move which supports non-shovelware.
More consoles has done absolutely nothing for the quality of the 360's gaming department, or hardware. They still wont spend 3 extra cents on a disc drive that doesn't scratch discs. I'm sure it bought Greenberg a new porsche though. Sales really doesn't appear to benefit any 360...

4gb is retardedly low, considering how much storage mediums are in the year 2010. Microsoft is just milking people and charging for what could at least be a 100gb hdd system, for a 4gb system. HDD's are like 40 bucks with a discount Microsoft could get, if not less.

Polyphony made a new engine, and a new game. With features that PreDate Forza2. No matter when F3 would have surface, it would still ship with 8 cars on tracks, low detail, no track editor, no weather, no night, no 1080p, disappearing tracks, incorrect cockpits etc, no wrc, nada.
Polyphony is creating the game that they want to create that speaks to the enthusiasm & manufacture community. And its worth the wait, which is why people will line up to buy it. Even comparing ...

Specifically the lighting? Anyone else noticing teh change. I play PR often, the lighting looks a bit more realistic..
Might be the ambient occlusion? Thats keeping it more grounded.(no pun intended). The car paint looks good too..
Particles & Atmosphere is great too.. I don't know how they do it, but the light reacts correctly in the dust, like in Gran Turismo.
