I can honestly recomend it to everyone looking for a mike. Its expensive but worth every cent, and contrary to must reviews the socom bundle is worth it but better wait a few weeks for the sever issues to be resolved. The game nature for tactical team gameplay its still there and when you can play it without hicups its very fun.

If it was for 360 i think i would get fallout no dishing gears but its not my cup of tea.

You my friend are a hardcore gamer, you own the 3 of them and prefer the xbox experience. But for everyone of you there is always someone on the oposite end of the spectrum, there are hardcores who prefer playstation and even hardcores that prefer the wii believe it or not.
That and singleplatforms owners along with videophiles have given sony plenty of room to not worry about "problems" like yours. The ps3 and the 360 for all the fanboyish comment on both sides really ...

if i remember correctly GTA (3 at least the defining one), DMC, Fable (really there was only one game and was mediocre and you count it as a main franchise and then negate killzone?), Splinter cell, Halo and COD (became notorious) were new ips of last gen. A more fantasious build on the gears of war mechanic sounds like a nice change on a fun and proven gameplay. Even though i doubt they will perfect or equal the gameplay of gears of war it has a chance to hurt it in its weakest point "Story" then again this is tecmo we are speaking off which looking at past performances (mainly ninja gaiden) means it could be just as gears all flair no substance.
The quickgunners didnt check for friendly fire, if you check kingslayer history his everything but a ps3 fan.
The only problem section in the game are the beginning with engineer, biotic, or sentinel. All combat classes go through the game unhindered by the universe, the other are hard to use in the begining but once you level up your powers it returns to depresingly easy.
The combat classes dont even need to bother about taking cover in most late game engagements.
The glitches are aplenty but i am still surprised of th amount of people logged on to the game despite them. Every time i log on its there are like 10s of server filled at capacity.
