Totally agree with you. A lot of the bigger sites aren't fans of writing about Kickstarter games unless they're enormously significant.
I think people get too caught up in the whole journalism thing. Most game writers aren't journalism, they're pundits; which is a significant difference. Journalists report facts, pundits give opinions. It's like any other enthusiast press.

Not much of a game yet, mostly walking around. Although the alpha update adds some cool stuff. Think of it like "super early access" hehe

Totally agree with you. While I don't think that backing Kickstarter campaigns is foolhardy, people have been way too loose with their money on there in the past. It's nice to see people being more skeptical, but it's a bummer when promising games fail in their campaign for mysterious reasons.
Do your thing man, don't be afraid to piss people off :)

Good call, although I think one could argue it's the other way around since the original Rocket Ranger came out before The Rocketeer.
