I see no problem with it. The Square Enix Collective has been really helpful for a number of indies, and it's not a charity afterall.
Great looking campaign!
I could get behind this provided the 'spaceships' aren't just gray hallways.
Can't say I agree with everything the author is saying, but I see some of the points they're making, especially when it comes to the idea that it's not a great way to make money.
What a thoroughly confusing game. I want to like it more, but I'm just not sure what's going on in it.
That site really needs an editor. That article was an absolute mess.
Agreed, not enough developers seem to treat it as a job and responsibility, and more of a hobby that they hope to deliver on.
Here's the list so you can save yourself from being tempted to click through to the article:
5. Street Fighter
4. Assassins Creed
3. Resident Evil
2. Final Fantasy
1. Call of Duty
Yeah, definitely a strange one. Far as I can tell they got likely put in a bunch of their own funds in order to make sure the project hit its goal so they could collect what little they did earn.
I think it's safe to say, "yes."
Damn, keep meaning to play this game
Spoken like a true non-backer ;)
Hmm, might be worth checking out then!
Pretty on the fence about this. Not a huge 'artsy' games guy.
Damn, that sounds crazy rough. I like hard games, but that sounds way too extreme.
Tough to say. Pat chimed in on Twitter and didn't exactly sound like he was wishing this dude the best, hehe.
Guess I should play this game one day. Hmmm
No kidding. It seems like a constant thing.
I agree with you almost completely. However, the hole in this particular case is the fact that the game is much more expensive than most indie games.
False report that's been shot down already.
