PS3 was behind the 360 by millions before the holiday and the 360 sold close to 6 million consoles this holiday I doubt Sony cought up to MSFT before the holiday and then matched the 360's 6 million consoles sold during the holiday.

I think most people have it wrong. I hear some people saying MSFT is scared or got cought with their pants down. I think Sony knows what's up with MSFT/720 from their E3 planning. And don't want to be overshadowed. This Sony event ensures Sony can get as much hype as possible for PS4 without sharing it with the 720.
And to set the tone for the gaming media and fanboys this way they're conditioned to be critical of the challenger. Actually pretty smart.

When you say PS3 outsold the 360 I assume you're talking about the IDK report that quessed/came up with those numbers with no proof and or real source or info(4 hits) on how they tracked those numbers and are the only data company that came to that same conclusion.
2nd place best seller in NA this holiday didn't even sell half of what the first place seller did. Sales from the rest of the world are not going to make up those impossible numbers even if the 360 wasn't ...
Actually xbox fans don't believe only the negative PS4 rumors. They are hopeful most of the 720 rumors are true and could carless about negative PS4 rumors.
Remember when the leaked 720 docs came out their where already PS4 rumors floating around that showed it to be weaker than the 720 and there were also PS4 used game blocking rumors before the 720 ones. Most gamers ignored those negative PS4 rumors Sony and MSFT fans alike.

I think a lot of people are confusing or purposely misunderstanding Kinect's role of always being on and coming with every 720.
Kinect 2 is simply part of the 360 interface/dash/core software. It has full control of the 720 console. I see fanboys talking like you have no choise in turning off video chat/sharing and or all games will be full Kinect games.

I dont see how not earning rewards reminds you of last gen. Do you unlock trophies every 20 seconds on PS3? Do the prompts cause the game to pause for a bit or take large parts of the screen?
No you're mixing real numbers from MSFT with estimates from that data firm that guessed PS3 numbers claiming ps3 passed the 360 to get traffic. Sony has not released their numbers.
MSFT sold 6 million consoles in not even two months this holiday Sony did not pass the 360 when the 2nd best selling console in NA this holiday didn't even sell half of what the 360 did.

I think both companies have a replacement policy? so not many people would choose to spend 3 to 4 hundred bucks on a new console that will be replaced for free. I doubt stupid people would have an effect on "160 million " consoles sold ;)
