That was obvious after what they did with PS4, I'm actually a bit surprised they even have substantial PS4 backwards compatibility. Of course, they should have full backwards compatibility with all PS systems, including digital compatibility with PSP & Vita.

If you think the PS4 didn't set a low bar then you didn't have a PS1 or a PS2, simple as that. I understood that they'd drop the ball a little eventually, can't be perfect, so I was hoping PS3 was just a one off thing, but PS4 was even worse. That doesn't mean there's nothing of value on the system or that it's on the level of Virtual Boy or CD-i, it just means it's not as good as it could be and should be--like PS1 & PS2 were.

Well, the bar was set pretty low by PS4, which already didn't have much to live up to with PS3. Can we go back to the PS1 and PS2 glory days? If PS5 can at least manage to scrape together enough quality to match PS3 then maybe I'll be interested down the line but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.
I'm playing old ports on my Switch because Nintendo is in a perpetual drought. Is this even the hobby for me any more? Maybe not.
