I don't have the money. I used the credit card :) My TV came with 2 pairs of glasses and it converts any signal to 3D (with more or less success), but I agree: (all) entertainment costs money.
It is practical. I bought mine few weeks ago and I've been using it more and more even for non-3D content. But it's not perfect: there are the freaking glasses, some cross talk and you cannot watch with your eyes in vertical position (e.g. lying on your side), but even with these shortcomings I find myself using it most of the time.
So does Super Stardust HD! GT5's not bad either, but the 3D effects are not as stunning as Super Stardust. Maybe it's the nature of the game: flat race tracks vs. the sphere... Still adds to the immersion, though.
I'm currently playing GOW3 and although it's not made for 3D, TV's (Bravia LX) built-in 3D adds some depth to the game. I've no a remote clue how it does it, but it's pretty accurate in deciding what goes to the front and what goes to the...
That's understandable: the "honest" ones don't want to piss off the advertisers. They pay their living. Some are just fanboys. Just add 30% to PS3 games score and you'll be fine. Those not having PS3 will think this is a fanboy rant, but eventually they will see God of War 3 in HD...

PS3 media server worked flawlessly from my Ubuntu PC.So did Media Tomb, but was not easy to set up like PS3 media server. In cases with codecs that PS3 didn't like, the media server would decode it on the fly which could be troublesome when fast forwarding for example. Decoding is CPU intensive especially if you play HD content.
Did you guys play God of War 3? Because if you did and you say these games are better I must buy them. The only other game I can think of that wowed me as much as GoW3 did was Shadow of the Colossus.

I bought that one at Future Shop here in Toronto, they got a new shipment a week ago. Maybe it's sold out again. Can't believe I used to race with controller and keyboard. The wheel adds more to immersion than 3D, even though I'd recommend both to people with room on their credit card.
Just add 30% to PS3 game score on Metacritic to get objective one. It's easy.
