No this game DELIVERS, did you even read the "Review" impressions over at Destructoid? Not to mention the 2 million + sales in Japan alone.

Oh wait, I suppose you are the many who enjoy trolling on N4G.
Flamebait whores like you belong on the Open Zone --->
Oh my the ignorance.
It took them a year for designs, artistic creation, concepts and such
Another year in developing the versatile engine from ground up
Once they developed this engine it took then a year respectively on each console.
All in all 4 years...
To develop Towns would take them much more longer meaning more money and more time.
And in-depth detailed review of someone who has spent over 60 hours playing the game yet notice the silence on N4G.
Apart form that retard over at the Open zone where is everyone else?
N4G is full of hypocrites looking for bubbles.
Actually with the level of quality SE demand its actually a very good reason.
If they decide to make a town with the quality they desire, then I guess it will take a long time. Either do it correctly or don't do it at all.
Why do you think GT5 is taking so long? The developers are perfectionists, they don't want to cut corners! Trying to create a City or a Town in such amazing graphics is very difficulty.
They already earned over 2 million in Japan alone, and are expecting at least another 1 million in Europe and else where.
SE bring quality, and also they are experimenting a lot with games on the Xbox 360.
Only FF13 was an outstanding success which has sold 2 million in Japan alone.
Retard just go die in a ditch
Average score of 5.1 you idiot
However I love JRPG so this is a must buy for me.
How is Ape Escape (PS exclusive) shovelware? I've been waiting for the next Ape escape since the last one came out.
The graphics are on par with FF13, they have done a great job.
I think this the most you can get out of the PS3. We will have to wait for FF13V to see what more SE can deliver.
MAJOR FLAW in your reasoning.
Don't compare FFXIII to the other generic Multi Platform games.
The developers DID NOT port one version to another. They were honest in their approach and decided to develop the Crystal Tools Engine from ground up which was highly versatile.
Effectively the Developers at Sqaure Enix divided into two groups specialising on each console to get the most out of both platforms.
To compare this game with other Mult...
FFXIII is taking chances, and experimenting with new ideas. If they had thrown in Towns and interactive NPC villages to break up the pace then I suspect people would be moaning about its lack of innovation.
Now people are criticising the game for not doing what it did before. Sqaure Enix decided to break the habit, they have always done things slightly differently in each game instalment but this time it was a big move...
They went bold and decided to incorporate MOR...
Hahaha
Seriously how can you honestly compare Mass Effect 2 to an JRPG like FFXIII? The two games are so different.
You getting over 40+ hours (not including the side quests) of content in FFXIII with the traditional flair and style synonymous of Square soft. Also the game mechanics are not the generic FPS shooters that most Western gamers are familiar with.
I seriously hate this gen. Games are meant to be fun, super long and epic at the same but not a single game this gen has been like that because they all want to be like movies and movies are filled with action and epic moments but thy certainly aren't long lasting and they tend to get boring and you don't have fun watching them at all.
Why are devs making games like movies WHY? what's the point of making game have epic moments when the player has no fun playing the dam game? that...
I always thought the Battle Game play was the BEST aspect to this game
They never spent 4 years just on the battle mechanism, don't twist things.
@Troll
Who said it was a PS3 Engine? LMAO
The Engine was called Crystal Tools, and it was primarily designed with versatility in mind. This type of Engine is incredible because it suits SquareEnix and gives them the ability to create different games for different consoles whilst also allowing the devs to specialise on each platform.
Remember this is SE, not some small Team assigned to work on one console! They need an Engine that can help them FOR ALL c...
@ erathaol
Indeed you are a troll
I have played trough the game, at the moment I am finishing the Side Missions on Grand Pulse, currently on mission 60 with 5 ATB's unlocked and some star (maxed) weapons.
Simply out, this games battle system is incredible. Far better than the turned based/command menu orientated systems of the past.
In fact your argument only shows that you have not plaid any other FF game because you could easily press the ...
You were born to struggle
This is such a disappointment , what a FLOP
Only 100,000 for both the PC and Xbox 360? LOL
Lets see the figures after a week.
360's Maxed out Effect 2?
FFXIII has two areas, Cacoon and Pulse
Cacoon is meant to be a Metropolis futuristic City, so essentially you ARE in a City and you DO visit different areas of Cacoon.
The thing is you cant access Villages or Towns voluntarily because there is no World Map, instead you can travel around a vast field called Grand Pulse, which resembles the World Maps of previous FF's.
It is accessible near to the end and essentially acts as the Map of Pulse. Pulse is n...
