I heard about the recalls from an N4G user who works at a retail store, but even Joshin, one of the biggest consumer-electronics retailers in Japan have confirmed that a new system with a weight reduction of 200g is coming.
All this leads me to think that a new cheaper PS3 Slim is on it's way.
Some retailers said that Sony's recalling some of the Slim PS3's which leads me to think a new PS3 slim is on it's way.

It's kinds stupid how many of you say you don't want Cross-Game Voice Chat, yet clicking on the link and seeing the top most wanted features slap you all in the face.
There's obviously a very high demand for it, otherwise it wouldn't be the top most wanted feature.
I think Sony are going to add these top 3 most wanted features in the next FW update, top 3 being Cross-Game Voice Chat, Auto-Trophy Sync & PS2 Emulation.
All of which are great features....

It actually looks more cluttered up and NOT very simple.
Sony slims down their consoles because once the internal chips and everything get smaller there's no point of having a larger outer-shell because you'll just be wasting plastic for nothing.
For example, if the inside circuits of a PS3 were the size of a game case but the outside plastic shell was the size of an original PS3, then that would be called wasting plastic.
All that extra plastic adds up to Sony's production costs.

whoever wrote this article is actually correct, Sony need to either relaunch the PSP-Go or just kill it off and make a newer version of the old UMD equipped PSP.
Sometimes Sony make some really stupid business moves that they end up causing problems for themselves.
This is one of the main problems with Naughty Dog, they never finish the story's of their previous games and just move on to the next franchise like as though the previous title never even existed.
They did it with Crash Bandicoot, they're going to do it with J&D, and they're most probably going to do it with Uncharted, and they don't have the rescources?...
