do you have any proof of that? as far as I know the pc version is a console port, so I doubt the AI is better on PC.
the two last ones made me lol.
agreed, except for the boss battles.
I just feel like Deus Ex is missing the "wow factor", it's very good overall, but I never needed to stop playing just to think about how awesome what I just did was.
It's still one one my favorite games this year, it's good to know there's room for improvement.
number 3 is my only problem with the game, you don't feel augmented... sprinting is one thing but, without the no-fall-damage-upgrade you die by jumping from the first floor... also needing energy to take out an opponent from behind is kinda lame, I'de guess any trained law enforcer could take someone out by surprise.
you could sell them as slaves in fallout though, that was good enough for me.
the collision bugs when you drag a corpse are so annoying, I get so mad when I'm trying to drag a guard and he gets stuck to the ground while his buddies are still scouting around
for me stealth is all about the "mechanical" AI. IF the AI wandered around at random stealth would mostly be frustrating. Imagine sneaking behind a guard in a strait corridor and out of nowhere he just turns around...
I also say this because I love puzzle games, and predictable AI makes the game to be a bit more puzzle-y.
"If you walk up to them to talk, they spout random info about augmentation or such. Is that really what people would say in ...
I believe difficulty shouldn't be an issue in a well crafted game, for me at least.
If your game is done well enough losing shouldn't be frustrating and winning should always be fun whatever the difficulty.
I've been playing red faction guerrilla lately and it's so enjoyable to destroy everything that it doesn't need to be difficult to be fun, so I just pushed the difficulty down to easy, and have been having even more fun.
I don...
the mexico part is tough to get through, but it's worth it. The end part of RDR (last quarter) is one of the best game experiences you'll get this gen.
yep, the game was ok, but in pure rockstar fashion was filled with missions we didn't need, and it got boring. RDR is still the only rockstar game I ever finished.
you're lucky to have the time... or unlucky and don't play many games... hard to tell.
I play games for fun, so if I'm not having fun anymore I'm on to the next one. I would was I finish 90% of the short games and 70% of the long games. I finish all good games though.
Some bad advice in this article though. Give yourself a deadline? That just makes games feel like work
I guess what the article was going for was being efficient with your points. No fall damage is useful, but you can go around having it quite easily.
I'm not to far in the game yet, would you recommend that I take the wall break ability if I'm note using highlights? Can they be located easily?
also invisibility feels like cheating if I want to play stealth, how doable is the game in stealth mode without it?
LBP was great, but I wouldn't say it defined the generation.
I would also put cod4 on the list even though people think it's not a new IP. If I say the modern warfare IP? does it make it better?
anyway, like it or not it's the game that defined the most this generation, throwing it into the FPS craze that it is in and making every other shooter copy it's multiplayer.
portal 2 won't win the Spike GOTY award for sure, as that is mainly based of popularity, but it might get some of the other major awards.
come on, the article was exactly what you could expect from the title, why did you read it?
the quality of the article is arguable, though, it didn't even keep the same layout throughout. after number 2 the game titles weren't separated from the text and weren't in bulk. kinda bad.
very portal-y, I like it
yeah, that disappointed me. for that price I can get a macbook and a desktop gaming PC
The A is fine if you're going to play stealth, but when they attack they act weirdly. Also the cinema tics have a "filter"(?), are badly compressed or something that makes the, blurry compared to gameplay, you'll specially notice this in the opening cinematic that has very close-up shots with a character.
also, if you're playing a localized version, it won't have english, god I was so pissed when I discovered that last night. I'm going to have t...
I can see 2 main reasons, one being money, and the second; as an artist/creator she might just want to create something new instead of working on a similar project.
We are the ones who win anyway; we got portal 2 which was awesome, and a new IP from kim swift
thx, my bad
