I just think GOTY awards are distributed regardless of platform, but there are just more multi platform games, so more awards are distributed to them.
you're agreeing with me in your second paragraph... doesn't sound like it though...
Edit: meant as a reply to cgoodno
I know gears isn't at the top, but forza isn't really in the running for GOTY, because, let's face it, sports/driving never get GOTY.
uncharted 2 and LBP did get quite a few GOTY awards, I don't think your second point holds water.
still has come out and was really well received, but it's already off everybody's radar. Is it because of the quality of the game or people are just looking...
is the second line onwards of your reply directed to me? I don't get it
I'm impressed I see nobody talking about gears, it is one the games this year that has the most perfect/very high scores if not the most. I personally thought those scores weren't deserved (still a very good game) and kept it for myself, but I'm starting to think it's the general consensus?
why do people always want to chose between 2 games? there usually are at least 4 nominees, and every game we have been talking about deserve of spot as nominee.
it also reminds me of vanquish, which is why I'm exited for this game.
I played the demo, the game is quite good, but I hate the way it controls, too bad :(
CoD didn't have a good campaign since CoD4, what makes you think that?
I gave an agree to everyone, That how exited I am :)
I was thinking about a M&B sequel yesterday, and was thinking about how awesome it could be, quite weird
do you even know what market leader means?!
"there are more console game sales compared to PC" that literally means means that PC is not the leader.
after skyrim this is my most anticipated game! can't wait to play it with my gamer friends, but also with my casual buddies.
I actually didn't like Rogue Galaxy, it's one of the only games I ever sold back. the beginning was fine and it was really pretty, but once you get halfway through, the gameplay just becomes a potion swallowing simulator, every few seconds you had to pop up your menu and drink potions
lol
yes for a COD (imagine it written really, really big) game. those games are spat on time and time again for not being innovative, using the same engine and being buggy as hell!
so 2 years for an innovative game with a new engine is kinda short
who talked about a conspiracy? it's just basic PR...
what they gain is people like you saying it's a beta and bugs are normal.
yes, we'll judge on release
6 weeks from releasing, that's about 2 weeks from going gold, sadly
the argument is about the release being a demo called beta rather than a beta... Of course it's not the full game!
do you think after all those bugs DICE would come out and say: " yep that's what you're gettin''"
even if there were using some old version of the game how dumb is that, every body is complaining about hit detection, buttons not working and falling through the map. How will they fix minor details nobody in the beta c...
maybe it's called a beta because it's easier to call it a beta? bugs get overlooked and such.
uncharted 3's release multiplayer release is also called a beta, but it's the finished multiplayer we are playing, just sayin'
the first is the best imo, but every new disgaea added a few new features, if you want a more complex game go for disgaea 4, otherwise play disgaea on psp/ds (it works well as a portable)
above all things? not even close!
falling through the level and buttons not working is way worse for me(ADS and sprint typically), also the number of bullet it takes to kill someone varies greatly, it takes anywhere from 2 bullets to a full clip.
I had a lot of that "ooh I remember this bit from that trailer" moments in uncharted 2, but in a good way. ND actually tricks us into having expectations. examples that come to mind: elena pulling a gun on drake in the trailers, or the helicopter scene on the broken bridge, you expect it for quite a while before it happens.
