in the first translation from japanese we got, FFX HD was called a remake, so a lot of people were expecting one
@danteh
SQ-E haven't done the best job with new games lately, but you can't say they don't know how to remake games. FF4 and tactics ogre are great games
I think Valkyria chronicle 2 should be on that list instead of the first one. It improves on my biggest problem with the first. It offers character development that there just wasn't before, you can choose how you want to build your character, I also find that there's more strategy to the combat. The downside is it isn't on PS3, so there's less voice acting and less could be done in combat(no giant tanks etc..)
I hope VC 4 could release on vita or PS3 or even...
I should get back to it, I got distracted from it when dark souls and skyrim came out.
it's what I'm afraid of, I liked XIII, but once I finished it, I had had enough of the combat.
Now XIII-2 in an improvement over XIII but I'm not sure I want to play through a whole game with a similar combat system
because people like owning game and not to consoles to play them?
thanks, now i might pick it up when I get my vita, I'm currently still working through FF4.
helpful bubble for you
the only game of the list I don't own is tactics ogre. Did anyone play it?
you sure are a clover studio fan, three of the four games you want most are from them lol.
is god hand any good? i quite appreciated the other clover/platinum games
yeah, and that got pretty predictable after a while, even though it didn't get boring. it was just picking up characters and accomplishing their side mission later down the line. between every mission you would speak to your secretary who would just read a list of things to do and talk to your crew to see if they have anything new to say, or if you could sleep with them.
I'm not a big fan of mass effect 2 but I disagree with the article, the characters are actually what got me going in the game. I liked every character seperately and like discovering their story.
What I really disliked in the game though was the non-existing overarching story. Seriously the whole story is written on the back of the box :/
it's a bit more game-y though. sometimes you have a objective and you're trying to reach it. other times you'll just be wondering in the desert.
It does rely quite heavily on game-sense though, I wouldn't advice non-gamers to play it, they would just get lost as in flower.
IGN is soooo biased towards mass effect (2) anyway, won't change anything really. to this day they are still calling it one of the best games of all time.
good time? more like risky time, you could just lose everything in the next 6 month, or get good money out of it.
don't forget that blizzard is part of activision/vivendi/blizzard
it isn't mario, but it isn't as good either. visually it is stunning, and in that regard better than mario imo.
gameplay-wise, it doesn't feel as good as mario, the controls just aren't as tight. you'll notice it in later level, where it becomes quite frustrating. Also, i thought I would have a good time playing it with my non-gamer friends... they actually did not like it at all and just said it was trash and stopped playing after 30 minutes.
it&...
the list is good, but I think diablo should have been included somehow. personally I would also include borderlands 2.
Did the press see more of tomb raider than us? every site is saying it's shaping up to be masterful from what they saw at E3. I didn't think that what I saw at E3 was that impressive.
am I the only one that doesn't like knifing? one hit kills seem to be a bit op, seing how many bullets it takes to put someone down. if you're five meter away of somebody you're better off trying to stab your ennemy.
good thing they are nerfing the jetpacks, because jetpacks coupled with knifing really isn't fun
the last two minutes of the video are mind blowing. I've always said that graphics aren't important, but seeing this video made me change my mind. the level of immersion i felt watching this has never been matched by anything ever before, I can't even imagine how immerse I would be playing it.
if you read the article like that, you're just missing the point, though I do also feel like the writer put it in a rather selfish way.
the gaming crowd is getting older, we all started playing as kids with lots of time, we all remember pumping hours and hours into megaman, final fantasy, pokemon or whatever. We had few games a year and played the to the max.
Now that we are older and have more money to spend on games. So we start seeking for more varied ...
