Personally it never crossed my mind to get a Wii..but after watching their conference its now on my list of games/consoles to get. Along with Kirby, Zelda, and Metroid, oh and def. that Disney Epic Mickey...
Def a very solid performance by Nintendo. A lot of old games but they game out and just said their piece. No flashyness just straight up games. Very respectable.
We also have pie...and beer pong!
Or one could say...it was on the table...and either or kind of thing, depending on whether or not the audience was hyped by the end of the Conference. Perhaps in fact at the last minute he was given the go ahead to give them out as a last attempt to garner better ratings of the event.
Just another point of view :)
I would say this, I heard applause but what the author is saying is there was no jaw dropping applause no moment in which one could say Microsoft really shined.
I tell you what, watch the PS3 conference(one would assume you would) and see if you see a difference...provided the conference is good/great of course. Then let me know what you think.
I agree to an extent with your comment.
MS has lowered the bar, but I don't think Sony will become complacent anyway.
This I'd have to say is what I'm having trouble accepting. The reality is Sony would not release all that info on all those high-profile games if they were going to flop at the one thing that every gamer is going to be watching at practically the exact same time.
This stuff is basically the one time a year that a...
Hey while I respect your comment...perhaps you should wait for the PS3 conference before you fly off the handle, with stinky feet comments...lol
Anyway seriously though I'll give you props on:
Reach
Gears
MGS
and the New 360.
I Will Not Sir!! Give you proper respect on the "shallow and padantic" hog swaggol, pirate wench laundry wash that is Kinect. That sir is going to far, to far I tell you!
Goo...
Yes...
If skittles became sentient and began to manufacture more skittles...ala terminator and then decided to take over the world. kidnapping kids and making them play that jump rope game over and over again....
AAAAAHHHHHHHH...i think I just pissed myself...oh no...its the other one
You know I was wondering about that clapping. I wonder did they have to clap because if that was me, there is no way I would have for anything past Reach, Gears, And MGS.
After that it pretty much went downhill.
HAHAHA Priceless....skittles...LMFAO
I would go so far as to say the casuals can not as well.
Yes but those games are clearly "Minute Games". I couldn't see myself playing any of that stuff for an hour or more. Just not feasible. Even kids I can see getting tired of it.
Sure first their is the excitement of the games and it being new, but I'm sure that would wear off within that same week. It has no staying power.
I would say they already have. If Sony just shows the games that are already announced again then they would have come out on top.
That being said there is a reason for showing your games up front. You have something else of equal value or better to show. I would think that would be the case.
The way I see it, you don't show great cards at the beginning of the game only to fail at the home stretch. They built up the hype on purpose and basically put a lot...
Now I can agree with that. What they have put out is seriously lacking, but I fear that MS has a great idea, but it is implemented to late in the developmental cycle. By the time Kinect or whatever...gets into full gear it will be time to change consoles. I would think however that perhaps they have an expansion in mind where it would work with the next generation Xbox.
The demo of the game seemed stilted. I noticed that the AI seemed to look the other way, or rather wasn't looking at the character, but sort of waiting to be slaughtered. In these type of games your going to have to wait for the human interaction to catch up so your going to have to make the AI a bit slower (in my opinion). That being said it just seemed idk...hollow.
I will admit the idea behind Kinect is ideal, but the realization and implementation is not.
No as of yet there is no price point.
Lol.
Personally I favor my PS3 over my 360. Still Reach, Gears, and Metal Gear I will get. The rest of the show however was kind of terrible. The way the lead guy was telling us how they had great exciting games, I thought they were going to show something new. Hence why I kept watching, and then I passed out only to awaken by some dude dancing...
not cool at all.
I was wondering that myself. I fell asleep on the Kinect part...woke up to the dance game.
The only things worth a nod were:
Halo Reach
Metal Gear
Gears of War
Oh and much respect to the 360 Slim
I won't get a slim or rather the new 360 but those 3 games are definitely on my list.
Seriously though, the rest was unnecessary and them hyping it up in the press conference was annoying. Why did the aud...
very nicely done....LMFAO at this one. :)
I understand that's your opinion, but I would have to disagree but only for the time being. I would say to all not to judge to harshly until after MS shows their hand. Personally if I was running it I wouldn't tip my hand, I'd keep everything close to the vest until E3. I applaud Sony, but If I could keep the secret I would because let's face it, if your a gamer 9/10 says your glued to every website, or any tv news having to do with E3.
Just like most are und...
Its all good. I'm thinking they'll do a recap of the games previously mentioned and lead with something like..."Now that you've seen a re-cap of the games already announced, let's look at the ones that are not...then POW! BING...BOOOM!!!! All hell breaks loose as everyone goes blind from the pure awesomeness that is Sony and Kevin...lol
