I beg to differ. The X1 offers In-game video chat, voice recognition, IR blaster to control your whole home theatre, motion controls, voice control, dedicated servers on the cloud, rumble in the controllers triggers, game improvements on the cloud, Ryse, Dead Rising 3,Forza 5, Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Titanfall, and the list goes on and on. There are plenty of good reasons to go with the X1.
The bad part about it is the X1 and PS4 wont look as good as the PC in MP. Im keeping my expectations low so maybe Ill be pleasantly surprised. I do expect the SP to look good on consoles though. It already looks better than Killzone SF, going by the SP trailer they showed at E3. With 64 player online I still look forward to BF4 on consoles, just being realistic about the MP.
I agree COD:Ghosts on X1 will be the superior platform to play on v/s the ps4. X1 will have the cloud going for it. PS4 will be filled with cheaters, lag, and the oh so fun host migration. The cloud isn't such a joke when it makes your games miles better. Plus X1 users will get dlc first.

I agree that Kinect is a big reason that I am going with the X1. In game video chat is the natural evolution to online chat. And the voice recognition screams next-gen. I don't really care about motion controls, but I can see how that could appeal to the younger crowd, or even good for parties.
I would have listed dedicated servers as a reason. The cloud is bringing online gaming to where it should be for a paid online service. These are real dedicated servers for the X1 ...
Sony just doesn't have the server farms to support their games. COD:Ghosts will not have dedicated servers for the ps4 either. Until the ps4 can create a game that is on par graphically with Ryse, I wouldn't worry too much about the X1 holding anyone back.
I don't think the ps4 has proven its the most powerful console. Until I see a ps4 game with graphics that can stand up to Ryse for the X1, then the ps4 hasn't proven anything.

Only sony fanboys think PSN is better than Live. The UI for PSN is complete garbage compared to Live. Messaging is a pain in the balls on PSN, Live its easy. No party chat for PSN, Live has this covered. Free Games with Gold on Live, Live gets to keep their games. PSN+ is just a rental for games.

From what he said you can start the second the offense chooses its formation. With a little time with it, a person would probably get used to using it. You also have a like 8-10 seconds after the offense has chosen a play.
I might have to invest in a smartglass tablet. A lot of games for X1 seem to be getting cool apps for it. Would really like to have the BF4 and Madden 25 apps, they both seem very useful.

Have you seen the Madden 25 app? It essentially give you a bunch of stats from the game you are playing. The stats pertain to what the other team is doing offensively, and lets you use those stats to call defensive plays. To me, something like that would be a very handy...
