Here in Canada, this kind of practice is illegal in the consumer law. God I love the consumer law of Canada.
the demo hooked me, but I would pay 19,99$ for the number of hours this game offers. Maybe 29,99$ if it had multiplayer.
if you look carefully, all year long, the market shares stayed the same. MS still has 12%, Sony has still around 33% and Nintendo has the rest.
It doesn't look like the price drop did anything for MS aside from a spike. They didn't gain any market share at all.
oh yeah, also, like many pointed out, UK =/= EU.
The story wasn't that bad. It was different from the usual "I wan't to be a master criminial, but I'm a thug" story. And when you unlock the 3rd Island, all the emotion is drained out by the last missions.
what killed the game for me was
-the lack of Rhino tanks
-the driving (I've been spoiled by Burnout Paradise)
-the stupid cell phone with this buisness about friends and girlfriends
-the multiplayer is too broken to enjoy

I think NHL 2009 was made in Montreal. I might be wrong, but I know EA made one sport title there.
Also, the schools around here really pushes the multimedia formats, from publicity, to programming passing by arts.
My opinions aside, I just hope the users don't suffer a downtime like in last december.
edit: who disagreed ? Please state your disagreement. Live had problems last year

At least explain your disagreement.
The price cut did the usual spike and it's coming back to normal sales.
Sept. MS market share : 16%
Oct. MS market share : 12%
All year long MS stays around 12%
I'm not the one who knows if it'll stay that way, but this comment in the link made me lol a bit : "360 is outselling the PS3by a 1.01:1 ratio".
Where's that 2:1 ratio? quote: "Later today, NPD is going to release October sales... and we expect these num...
wasn't this game cancelled? If so, it should've stayed that way.
This was a summary of the venturebeat article. They even link to it at the end. The venturebeat article showed its sources accurately when possible.
This was a great summary, but the venturebeat article is really more deep than what we just read here.
Wasn't it promised for september by MS? Or was it fall?
Still, it is a laughable situation.
it's like a crappy version of the crackdown commercial... which was already sucky.
The speculations on criterion forums are
Ecto-1 (Manhattan Spirit)
KITT (Gt Nighthawk)
General Lee (Cavalry Bootlegger)
Whatever they are, That Jansen 88 warrants the whole purchase for me.
As soon as the PS3 version comes out, I'll buy it. I would buy it for my PC, but it's too old. Upgrading it would cost too much.
Also, I prefered Kari Wuhrer's Tania. But I don't like blondes.
When I was younger, I thought game consoles were a masculine name (always called the nes "le nintendo", yet, it's "une console" thus making it feminine.

Some people flash the 3 year warranty to people like it's suppose to be a normal thing.
My beef is that you shouldn't even have to rely on the warranty. It's there in case of a lemon you could get. Not because "you'll eventually going to need it". And supporting this idea is even worse than 360's whole RROD mess. I said it before, it has good games, but the hardware is not so great and the users have been played for fools.
I've cut myself while making food yesterday, I blame Cooking Mama!
I feel for you neo_ad. I was about to do the same, but I would've had to upgrade the old computer.
I will get the PS3 version day one instead.
I agree with theEnemy.
This site is becoming a warzone. The gamerzone and openzone is almost indistinguishable from one another. This site is becoming worst than blogs...
*looks at kotaku*
ok,almost worst than blogs...
The problem is not coming from Sony, it's coming from the devs. Did you notice that games built on Ps3 then ported on 360 look better and work better? This will change next year, I hear alot of third parties a switching to PS3 to build their games, such as Skate 2.
It is illegal in the way that it influences the consumer choices. Embargoed is ok, as long as everyone gets embargoed, not only those that gives a score lower than X.
I was given a full course on that law when working on a customer service and alot of parts were circled and the text next to it that was handwritten stated "don't let the customer know that".
