Yes, I went to 2 big box stores the weekend before the price increases. People were buying both PS5 and 5Pro, and talking about RAM prices.
I hope I don't regret holding off on Pro. The reason I would regret it, is if next Gen gets pushed back quite a bit.

Microsoft has been talking about adding commercials to get the cost down. Not in game, but before you start a session. I would just open my game then get all the stuff I need to done, before sitting down to play.
If they cut the price down enough to justify it, I'd do it. Most Sub services are giving the option now. If it's worth it!

Like it or not, the vast majority of game sales are digital. Just like movies, and music. At least Gamekey cards are shareable and you can sell them.
Meta, critic reviews are all 80 average, including for PS5. The gamer reviews tell a different story, as they average 63! Yikes, that's a huge difference. I haven't played it since the OG release on X. My "playtime" back then was maybe 15min. It just didn't immediately grab me, like most games I end up spending hours and hours with do.
LOL! The PS5 Pro is $899 plus tax! Thinking the PS6 is going to be $800, isn't realistic. PS5 and PRO just had another price hike at almost 6 years into this gen!

The game is a solid 8, and it's OG release wasn't just on PS5 and PC. It was also released the same day for PS4! I looked it up, because I bought it for PS4 pro, because I didn't have 5 yet.

That is funny! Of course it will be more powerful than the S! Switch 2 already outperforms the S, in some cases! Yes S2 is Using tricks, but just power and ram alone makes PS6P, more powerful than S! I am not a handheld guy, but PS6 is definitely on my must have list, and maybe PS6 portable, if the price is right.
Either way they are most likely coming out late 2027 ( I am guessing obviously) to late 2028!
I won't buy one, and if you look at PS5 Pro sales they make up for around 13% of PS5 sales. Now they are going up to $899 not including tax, almost 6 years into PS5's lifespan. No I don't see gamers jumping on that. I have seen gamers buying PS5 last weekend, and talking about the price hike. Pro is nice, but unnecessary for most of us.
Next gen is for sure though!

I bought the Generation pack. Resident Evil Requiem is a AAA brand new game, that looks and performs exceptionally well on Switch 2. It retails for $69 USD, across all platforms. For $20 more you get RE 7, and Village. I own the later on my other console, but to have em all on Switch 2 without the "cloud", yes please! So 3 RE games on my Switch 2 for $89 USD, for me no brainer! It's a great deal if you were going to buy Requiem anyway!

I don't have a pro, but I still read the articles. It's Pro only. However base ps5 looks fantastic on Quality mode! The Balanced mode is great looking and higher frame rates! I think I might pick this up for console now !
So, waiting for console reviews still. Today I read Series X balanced mode is the way to go on that console. If you want the best graphics Quality mode. Performance mode is apparently a hot mess. I know it looks pretty bad from videos and screen captures. That's the mode I wanted to play.
My guess is base PS5 base will be similar, BUT have more stable frame rates in performance mode.

Quite of few reviews say similar things. I personally think this is going to be one of those games you are going to love or hate.
My main complaint is the lack of PS5 base and Series X videos. I could go the PC route, but would rather play on Console. It's my primary gaming setup. I have read the specs, for both PS5 and Series X, but no videos? The one I did see looked like a huge step down from PC.
I use a power bank. It is small, and gives my S2 more than 2.5 more hours of gaming. That is with games like RE, Donkey Kong, etc. With less demanding games it's closer to 3.5 to 4.
