The reason PC is not a console is because most of them are built and then updated as time goes on. It's hard for Devs to take advantage of PC power when they don't know how many have a rig powerful enough to play the game. Maybe that's why you can adjust the graphics.
PC game Devs should only make games for the most powerful PC rig. You know the one that cost 15k to build.
Without Nintendo the industry would be in the arcade and at your home.
Consoles have their benefits, just like PC has it's benefits.
They should've delayed the other consoles until the Wii U version was ready, but Nintendo is not bitch that can be bought. MS won't allow games to be released on their console if it's release on another console first. What is the trade off for that benefit from the publishers?
That one thing about Nintendo they're not ran like the US congress, like MS & Sony are.
All I know is once Nintendo is out of gaming. Video games will be too expensive to play. The games will be affordable, but playing them will be expensive.
If the Wii U is in a different Gen, then PS4 & X1 are a different Gen form the PC.
Optimization order: Wii U>X1>PS4>PC.

I own all 3 consoles and that's my opinion.
The problem is gamers are mostly sheep and follow the herd. That is what they mean by mass market. More brainless sheep purchasing the Wii U. Like that will ever happen.
You sound like someone that follows the herd. So, when being gay being becomes the new cool thing (like the PS4) you will jump ship. Just like you jumped from 360 to PS4.

i'm in the same boat as you with all three consoles. They do need new IPs, but they need to work on current ones first as they come out slowly. As for multiplats: why would Nintendo fans buy the worst version of a game when quality is so important to them?
I want a new Metroid and Starfox before new IPs.

All RPGs games need to come to the Wii U. The gamepad makes the RPGs experience a lot better.
The Wii U gets the most uses in my house and I've got both PS4 & X1.
The convenience of the gamepad is the reason. I don't have hours of gaming time everyday. So,the gamepad makes it easy to play retro Nintendo classics that makes me feel satisfied with only 10 minutes playtime.
All the games I have for my PS4 & X1, I feel like I'm just getting started after 30 minutes. Sometimes that makes it feel like work instead of fun.
I almost bought a 4K TV until I found out the you can only tell the difference at from about 12 inches from the TV. Saved half of my money.
It's the same thing with PC a lot more expensive. You can get the most powerful machine, but the trade off is the gaming industry can optimize or have a budget to full advantage of the power.
I just wish one company would make game for a 15K rig. I bet a 4K TV couldn't even handle that game.
