I've been in the beta and so far have really enjoyed this game. The factions are great and they really feel unique to each other. The amount of players on the maps are excellent with no lag whatsoever. All I'm saying is if you have the opportunity to play this game through the beta then take that chance to enjoy a really well-developed title. People aren't giving the game a chance yet, and this title really shines.
I love the look and feel of this game. I was thinking like some of you have already stated how it reminds me of Ghost Recon, the original title mind you. That game I must have played each mission some 50 odd times to try and manipulate and discover new ways of completing the objectives. People always rip into video games that have characters that cuss and talk trash constantly. Fact of the matter is, that's exactly how the military is. All sh!t talk, all the time. I can see how you thought I might have been baiting with those comments, though I definitely don't as apparent in any of my comments on N4G. But with Prototype it is strange how no reviews have surfaced. I'm guessing they put a lock on them until day of release? I was skipping it either way, though I wanted to see what that extra dev time did for the game.
Expectations are different. An 8 is a good game now, whereas an 8 back then was through the roof, next to perfect with slight discrepancies. It would have been a 9 or higher in this gaming era. Plus the guy reviewing was an extreme Ghostbusters fan, so some nostalgia added to that score I'm sure.

So GOW 3 has detailed dismemberment and graphic head-rippage, yet these guys can't get a black hole in a wall to spout embers or a mallow to show burning deterioration on the PS3? Having this game to start off the new year is gonna be excellent. This and RE5 and Infamous right after should be one hell of a first quarter for PS3 fans that's for sure!
Gordon also put Steve Wiebe in the film as the husband to one of the characters in the film. The film had its funny moments, but Vince pretty much carried this film. He's pure comedic genius.

The original PSN ID account is no longer accessible guys. I was one of the first ones to try it out but there were so many people trying to sign in at the same time that it kept booting me out. Someone then got in and changed the password, twice if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I could never stay signed in long enough to dl the beta. Just do like I did and DL the install overnight. It shouldn't take more than 8 hours so being asleep will help alleviate some of the angst of waiting for it to finish. Or if you work during the daytime or have class, DL during those periods where your busy. Trust me, do it so you can experience this game. It really is a lot of fun and much more cohesive than I expected.
