You're complaining about how some FINGERS looked in a game? If you have to reach way down into your soul to prove your hatred of something and all you can come up with is how awful some fingers looked, maybe you need to reevaluate. Just saying bro...
I gotta say I like the smaller form of the new design. It's less obtrusive and blends well with the rest of modern electronics now present in home theaters.
I was impressed with Natal as well. While there's definitely some latency inherent with the motion design, it still is impressive to be able to freely move my hand to perform movements and make selections in the dashboard. And the ESPN deal is just awesome. I know a lot of gamers might not care, but let's be ...

Exactly. This game running well on both platforms is good for GAMERS. Fanboys lost a little ammo in this fight. Always a good thing.
But I'm pretty sure Mooey is stating that because BOTH systems run at 60 fps then getting the PS3 version on ONE blu-ray is more sensible than disc-swapping on the 360.
I'm the cosplay girl of the week and I hate the sun. The sun is a mean, burning ball of badness that I refuse to submit my skin to. Tan's are for skanky jersey kids anyway.
I don't really agree that games have become dumbed-down as a whole. I think new genres have emerged with new styles and game-play mechanics. Games are still difficult. Simply ramping up difficulty settings forces you to adapt to smarter, more effective AI that games in the past didn't dream of having.
I will agree with you that SOME games have become easier, though it's necessary to achieve more main market success because gaming is a business and companies have to turn a prof...
But those guys just seemed to rip up the game for the sake of a blog video. You can't start your argument about a game and how it went down the toilet with "graphics are blah, sausage fingers...". That's a terrible intro to an argument and it got progressively worse from there. It's a superficial facade that covers up the guys love for FF7. Don't derail a good game because you love old-school. Take the new while remembering the old. But gamers do love to complain so I get it.....

Remember that time...?
Sony does reheat the solder and reflux the chips but the difference in techniques is what separates the two processes. Amateurs use a heat gun which is only temporary and isn't heated to exact specs while Sony uses a IR Heat array that equally distributes the heat at constant, specific temps. The problem is the solder and it's inability to handle the amount of heat the system produces. Older models produce much more heat and I would suggest purchasing a slim for that fact alone.
No luck of course. I attempted the washer fix but to no avail. I figured this would be my last recourse before I purchase another PS3. If anyone else gives this a shot I wish you luck. It's not difficult to do and the disassembly is simple enough. If your confused on breaking it down Gilksy's YouTube videos give a comprehensive step by step.
Actually my question was directed to Smokedout. But I'm glad to hear yours is still running strong. It's a sad day when it stops working. Hope you don't have to feel the pain I feel each and every day. :)
I looked into Gilksy's method but I decided against it. I'll try the washer technique. If no dice I'll go ahead and buy a slim. Don't think I'll look into the refurbs though. I just don't wanna lose my original 60 gb. I love the thing much more so than any of the other PS 3 systems.
You "gamers" need to check yourselves at the door. Those soldiers confirmed MULTIPLE TIMES that the insurgents were armed, they asked MULTIPLE TIMES if they were clear to fire. One of the insurgents was firing small arms and one guy had an RPG ready to fire on a Bradley right down the street. Don't overlook their actions because those insurgents could have easily killed multiple US soldiers, but I'm sure everyone's OK with that right?
I'm glad those pilots acted ac...
No electronics, no entertainment!! I can't mess with my phone or watch a movie because idiots try to blow up people. Read a friggin' book people, try crosswords, brainteasers, or sleep. It's simple, and if it makes things safer for the US then so be it. Lives are more important than entertainment on international flights. PERIOD.
I really have no knowledge of Halo Wars and its return rate. I checked out the demo and enjoyed it but didn't rent or make a purchase. It appeared to be well done, and God knows how much I loved Ensemble Studios. I still play AOE 1 & 2 to this day. But as far as the Halo franchise, I loved CE and enjoyed the multiplayer of Halo 2. 3 let me down a little, only because I expected much more with it being on a new generation of console. In any case, ODST might be a lot of fun but I'm co...
Kaz is an artist, and creativity is a part of his mentality. He of course hates deadlines because they limit his creative process and make him feel restricted in his visions of what GT5 can be. He very clearly wants perfection in his project and that is understandable. Of course, Sony directors and project managers have to establish deadlines or Kaz and his team would likely never finish because of his insistence on perfection.
This is nothing new in the gaming world, and ev...
Where in any of my comments did I say anything about trade-ins or happy buyers? I stated my opinion that most buyers of Halo were college or perhaps high-school students who enjoyed the social aspects of Halo ie "Social Slayer". They sit down and play with their friends during social gatherings and don't care to research the product or even care to know anything about it other than it being a new release in the Halo series.
Reading comprehension is your friend and r...
From what I've witnessed with some of my buddies, 20-22 years of age and in college, they all purchased ODST. They even mentioned it to me, something along the lines of "Hey, did you hear the new Halo is coming out this week. It's all new bro and it's gonna be sick." I played along and didn't really go into the fact that it's a shortened excerpt from the previous Halo story that has no real relevance in being a full priced retail release.
Now this is just my opinion, and ...
I thought the game looked like a lot of fun to be honest! I always hated DDR, but I would certainly give this game a shot. Probably give you a little bit of exercise with some of the more intense routines and that's never a bad thing!
