Most consumers that aren't fanatics get mad when their time and money gets wasted. I used to be like that about Microsoft before I became a fanatic.
I loathed them for making my Xbox 360 so devoid of built in hardware features like WiFi and non generic HDD's. I used to complain about Xbox Live not being free too. And then I started frequenting gaming sites much like this one and I started noticing other people who didn't even own xbox 360's (read ps3 owners) complain...

I'll give The Last of Us a shot if the reviews sway me that way. Not the scores, but the gameplay. I don't want an interactive cinematic experience with little substance beyond story. I want a full fledged game with deep gameplay elements, not a run of the mill cover shooter with pretty graphics, endless climbing and predictable sequences.
