I bought my ps3 in january, my first game rental was mgs4, didn't do it for me, I never played any of the others so that could be it. Killzone2 is another one I didn't really get into. Before the Disagree and bubble eating monsters show up, I love my ps3, uncharted was awesome, I love blue ray, and I am looking forward to the tons of exclusives out there. I bought the 160gb uncharted bundle for 499 and am so happy I did, those two games just didn't do it for me.

They do this to keep the people who enjoy their products happy, also to bring in new people. You must know that the majority of people who use microsoft products don't care about how microsoft goes about their bussiness, they are just happey to have the convenience that you get from Msoft products.
I don't see it happening, I don't use Ubuntu, nor do I care to take the time to learn how to use it, but if it was so great then why isn't it getting even a fraction of the market share, after all its free. Google has a chance to do something, but I don't see them ever taking over the majority market share of the computer o/s market. So as I can not comment on how good ubuntu is, all I hear is good things, until it is a true competitor on a worldwide scale STFU about ubuntu.
I wasn't aware of a japanese company that made a competitive O/S that was available, oh wait there isn't so don't compare there adoption of windows 7 to their lack of interest in the 360. Does anyone actually have any numbers on how many $200 dollar 360's are sold. I hav about 50 people on my friends list and not one has an arcade, they have the pro or elite. It is rediculus to say that it is 399 vs 199, for that matter you could say 499 for the 160 gig model vs 399 elite and 399 80 gig vs pro and they don't have anything to go against the arcade. I loved the first one, it came with my ps3 and I must say my jaw dropped then. When will people take their fanboy goggles off and understand the PS3 has better looking games....Period.
