Man… people have been waiting decades for this!!!
If it’s not too much trouble can we have a remake of half life 1 &2 too?
Shadows probably sold hundreds of times more than concord and unknown 9 👏
A Chinese game that looks incredibly like code vein… 8 is a good score, IGN gave it a 5 though
Selling 3m less than PS5 doesn’t sound that bad… great job xbox!
(We should all be encouraging to xbox hee hee)
Wow… all 3 games for April are pretty awesome for me. It’s EVEN better when you remember what was on offer for March 😅
Huh?
I believe no one here is claiming the importance of historic accuracy except for the makers of the game and the writers of this article.
No problem being a fictional game, it’s when people claim historical accuracy problems arise
@Abnor_Mal
Interesting.
But appears to be some incident that triggered the ban.
Black myth wukong also used real life temples and statues for many of their locations. Caused a huge spike in popularity in the real life locations.
So far they seem to be happy with the surge in popularity, i wonder if issues would emerge further down
I am not downplaying anything.
No problem Yasuke being a samurai.
My problem is with the article claiming historical accuracy.
This lip sync thing sounds pretty awesome. But one cannot shake the feeling, this is going to be combined with AI, and….. sigh
I find the facial animations for the cut scenes in shadow is often hard to look at. I thought GOT was awesome.
I haven’t actually played shadows, so I can’t comment on game play.
Hey no problems yasuke being depicted as a samurai… the problem is the article depicting it as “historically accurate”….
Huh? I don’t even know what you mean? (Grammar not withstanding)
Is gaming capable of caring one way or another?
I never said historically accuracy was important to a game… i am referencing the Article, which says that shadows is better than GOT in terms of historical accuracy.
Also I didn’t bring up race, you did.
Historic accuracy… firstly there is no evidence yasuke was a samurai. Given that a samurai needs to train their whole life to become a samurai, maybe it’s kinda insulting to Japanese culture and history so say that yasuke was a samurai.
In a game, yasuke being a samurai is fine, but to say it’s historically accurate… is potentially insulting to the Japanese.
Wow! You are right!
I am checking for weird weather phenomenons 😛
Woah, that’s unexpected… does it mean we can expect more of this sort of thing?
Everyone and their dog knows the importance of exclusives.
It’s only during Xbox’s exclusive dry spell when suddenly this became debatable.
For me it’s just another instance illustrating that media independence is a myth.
suppose you buy a copy, you play it. Then your brother comes along and he gives it a try from the start on his psn account.
That would be 2 players, 1 copy sold no?
While 2m players isn’t anything to scoff at.
But it is more customary for sales to be used as the metric for how well a game is doing.
The fact that ubi has decided to change the metric reminds me of xbox one’s enemies killed, bullets fired etc… and we all know how that went.
Clearly this is a PR move. Most likely done for stock value, investor confidence, staff morale while trying to hype the game up.
It’s not easy to tell how successful the game actually is.
My guess would be the game isn’t doing bad… but may not be as good as Ubisoft hoped for.
If sales were that great they’d go with that instead of players.
Anyway Ubisoft desperately need a win, we’ll see how this turns out
