They forced the issue at the expense of the specs of the console . Of course some people will now be more inclined to buy it without excess expensive baggage .. but some others will see it as a weaker machine getting rid of its unique gimmick , beyond the set of exclusive games of course .

I feel that fighting games get a sometimes underserved rep in that area . People forget being lured and tempted into buying AT FULL PRICE - at a time games were more expensive - two to three updated versions of a same numbered fighting game . All of that based on the fact that we couldnt update the cartridges , and pre ps3/360 versions of those games .
And now we are at a juncture where some people complain no matter what .

Well people were told some of the issues they had with at least one feed was tied to change in lightings , rather than a pure 100% downgrade .
Of course the original first feed looks better . The Platform for it was never specified wich is a giveaway for pc or target rendering .
But the game still looks great
The lack of spine to request something at least as good as the ps2 naruto games ... not just prettier and up to date with fanservice content (hell even that varies as they hold back on characters and moves once everywhile)
Not to mention that FFXI and XIV while thriving on pc , were obviously created with consoles in mind .
And let's not even forget stuff like Phantasy Star Online , Monster Hunter that got no issues having and building communities . Or the simple wealth of couch co-op games and 4-8 players palooza
We've heard that claim before about some new engine . And we know the game is still planned on ps3/360 . So no while i expect improvement (but not as much as it should having been milking over 3-4 times already) , i do not believe about some new engine until proven . There has been to many lies about the serie , about what's possible or needed thus far .. it no longer got an excuse with some of us , for doing less that some games with far lesser budgets and expectations in such fiel...

A unquantifed amount of people wont care about peripheral extras (that could even get ripped/streamed right away or later on) . They'll just be care to Watch it first , for free online or donwload it for free , without the xbl network , since its on a tv channel first .

You say it separate itself from the competition , fine i could agree . But look at the record/capture features , or voice commands you described , it's done elsewhere without a kinect camera .
You guys are defending the idea of having default integrated something marginal already done , at least by 70% , without the hassle of being forced a peripheral down your throats .

It is not forced anymore , because they foresaw troubles and instead of making a gesture for everyone , they cut their losses . So yeah while it suits some people just fine , let's not pretend it was done with our concerns at hearts and that their is cause for thanks and celebration for everyone .
