This content is long overdue... but I'm still happy it's coming.
At this point it's more than likely this is going to go the way of anthem... but so long as they're still putting in effort and chipping away at the mountain of bad impressions they've left... there's (very slim) hope for this game. Looking forward to playing the new content.
This would be absolutely amazing. The game still looks great now, but an engine refresh could make the game look even more incredible.
I personally skipped the vita because memory was just so damn expensive - then eventually, Sony gave up on supporting it.
it got nowhere near the love that the PSP got, which is an absolute shame cause it paired pretty well with the PS4.
@jwillj2k4 it's a combination of factors that kept me playing for so long.
the 14 different weapon classes all play very differently. combined with the large number of different monsters, with varying behaviors and attacks, and the environments that are like different kinds of jungle gyms.
there's just so many permutations and possibilities that no two battles are exactly the same, and that lends itself very, very well to constant play, especially...
Weird how people kept saying it wasn't a direct competitor to Sony and Microsoft home consoles, because of its different release schedule, and inferior specs.
But now, when it's no longer even a part of any 'generation' (like the Wii U was), and it's doing well, it's "won" the console war.
I can understand. I didn't like monster hunter till "World" happened.
I only gave World a chance because I learned there was a legitimate story mode to keep me invested - and then the gameplay itself got me playing for a further 1200 hours.
If you can find something to get you initially into the game, there's a good chance the core gameplay loop and systems will turn you into a massive fan of the series, like what happened to me.
The only reason they should make a handheld is if they AGGRESSIVELY support it with games.
That didn't happen with the vita. on top of that, they made memory proprietary and ridiculously expensive. Death sentence.
So yeah, they should stick to their strengths and keep making amazing home consoles, IMO.
if it comes with crossplay between PC and Nintendo Switch users, that would be an absolute win.
It didn't happen with World, sadly, but hopefully with this one, they go even further.
it is very, very much worth your time.
Absolutely hate this new trend of games being announced too early.
First Square Enix, then CDPR, Then Bethesda, Now this. The absolute earliest this should have been announced is 2019.
and with how this industry is, it's going to be a December 31st 2022 release, which is really a 2 year wait. Thankfully, I have a big backlog, so I'll be fine, but it's incredibly annoying, especially as I've been looking forward to this game for years, now.
Let's gooo!
A very good first step in the right direction. If they can speed this up to a character a month, or even a month and a half, this game will be n an excellent place by this time next year.
Rocket Arena should absolutely have been on PSN plus from day one.
EA messed up by making it play to play, but hopefully it gets a revival cause it looks fun.
Thank you for providing that much needed context to me and the other 4 of us who didn't get the joke XD
I don't expect SFVI to happen before 2022, to be honest.
there's still a few announced characters that haven't been released.
If they want SFVI to do well, they better put a bunch more game modes and casual content in it, so casuals aren't completely turned away by the game's difficulty.
Otherwise the hardcore will maybe like it (though with how bad the complaints were for SFV, that's no longer a guarantee), and...
I'm not saying other defects aren't real.
I'm saying I'm a bit skeptical they made a console so poorly that it doubles as a smoker.
if lots of other people report this same thing, over and over, similar to the RRoD with the xbox 360 or even a quarter of those numbers, then yeah, I'm more than happy to change my stance.
I'm just used to either side in console wars being a bit underhanded to prop up their console ...
original posters page has a crap ton of pro sony pictures and games so...
this is probably not real.
I'm willing to bet one of the delayed games is VII Remake part 2.
Which could easily push FFXVI to a 2024 release. Assuming it was ever going to be released as early as 2023.
I absolutely enjoyed the game and I don't regret my purchase at all...
That being said, I absolutely understand why this is happening, and they deserve this. One of the buggiest games I've seen, and though I was lucky and had few problems, other people weren't as fortunate.
I hope that, similarly to how Final Fantasy XIV was handled, they keep at it and they make a game that lives up to it's unbelievable potential. More enemy variety, more...
yeah I get where you're coming from, but it also depends on the implementation.
in Avengers, the daily/weekly challenge points go towards unlocks that never refresh and never time out, so you can still play whenever you have the time, or whenever you feel like and you literally won't be missing out on anything - it can all still be unlocked at your own pace.
Absolutely brilliant. I bought a used Switch to play this game, but now that I know it's coming to PC later, I'm definitely selling my Switch and playing games on my backlog instead.
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
