A couple of my friends play this game. between them they have spent about £4000 on this game. Its a money hole! It looks like fun, but it can get VERY expensive.

Im gonna attach one of my spare USB drives to X1 for the additional space. I hope MS dont put a size restriction on it this time. I have a 1TB usb drive. Its pretty small too so I can just leave it round the back of the console.
It depends. Using hawken as an example again, I bought my mech ( a lovely beserker) with ingame money. But The only thing in the game I bought with real money was my Camo for my mech. For a game that looks better than anything on my PS360, that aint too bad. The camo cost me less than 5 pounds. Thats how much it cost me to play hawken whenever I want. and its a damn fun game!

As far as free to play goes , I will vouch for hawken and mech warrior online. Warframe is nothing special. I downloaded planetsside 2 on my PC earlier in the week so Im going to check it out and see if its something I can see myself getting into.
But so far, Hawken and mechwarrior are the best F2P games I have played.

I will definetly give the OS win, to MS. Nobody does OS like them. I fully expect MS to be on top of the software /OS side of things. that is one of their fortes.

indeed. I dont see why they didnt. Even if it was just a bump in resolution and 60fps, that would suffice for me. For this years version,anyway.

I never bought the original kinect but that said, Im looking forward to telling my xbox what to do..."xbox..on!" or playing single player KI just to unlock some achievments in between the breaks when im watching adult swim or something, just being able to snap/switch like that. It will be a very handy feature. Its not game changing or anything like that. But its very convenient.

But as a functioning network for actual multiplayer and updates? XBL trumps it in every way.

They should keep it bundled. The devs who CAN come up with creative uses for it will. the rest can ignore it. Either way devs wont have ask themselves if its worth developing game mechanics for a device that not all X1 owners have.
Disagree all you guys want. N4g has already made up its mind about X1 and i honestly dont give a shit about your feelings towards kinect. those that buy X1 will see its benefits in and out of gaming sessions.
64 players. 1080P @ 60FPS acreoss all formats. dynamic enviroments. ..yup..id say they are pretty well positioned to take the top multiplayer FPS spot.

I remember watching an off screen video by team VVV racing on youtube. In the vid the guy playing it said it runs at 60FPS. impressive stuff ;)
