Regardless of all the fancy shaders afforded by modern GPU's, you still need a good base to apply them to. Just goes to show, there's no substitute for a good art direction. Breath of the Wild is probably the most impressive looking game that exists when you consider it was built for hardware two generations old. You upscale the resolution, improve performance and put some (hacked) shaders on there and you'd be fooled this was for the current generation. It's a gorgeous-lookin...

Fired? As in brought to the Hague and put in front of a firing squad?

I'd buy that for a dollar.

Yes, because VR in the 80s and 90s is completely comparable to what it is now, isn't it?

70k for something the size and weight of a small car, super tiny FOV, fps of about 15 frames, and primitive lego graphics across about 100 pixels per eye is exactly the same thing we have now isn't it? How many people owned a VR headset back in the 80s and 90s again? Come back to me when you can answer that one.

Haha

Yeah, but no. Nice try. Been hearing this shit since the very early days of VR, which was just 6 years ago. VR dead? Don't make me laugh. Every time I've heard this, there's an article in the following months stating how its growing. VR is beyond the tipping point now, and has been for some time where it simply can't or won't die. There's a market there, and there's brand new headsets every year. It's so dead Sony are releasing a next ge...

Criminal action, you say? Funny that, seeing that EA are the biggest bunch of criminals of the lot. But sure, go ahead and defend their illegal gambling "surprise mechanics" that they shovel into their games via loopholes in the ESRB laws and regulations. Raking in billions, whilst shovelling abusive practices of their workforces under the carpet. Tax dodging. Laying off staff for no reason. CEO's giving themselves millions in bonuses whilst their dev teams that make them their...

Why are these companies evil? Because they're businesses trying to make a profit?
They make countless amazing games that the majority of gamers love and the minority moan about."

Is that you, Mr Wilson?

Seriously, imagine leaping to the defence of the likes of EA for "trying to make a profit" when they actively bullshit their customers and prey upon them with disgusting gamb...

Deeper into the abyss of what exactly? They'll release another COD and they'll rake in another couple billion.

Because clearly all LGBT people are concerned about when playing their videogame entertainment is if their characters are gay or not. I mean, they've shunned every single game in existence because of it, right? Mario is clearly too straight for them to even contemplate.

Stop portraying LGBT people like they are idiots and like they have some kind of disability that stops them from enjoying games.

Yeah, it could feel that way, and was probably intended to on some maps. I mean, you were a lone survivor on Phobos surrounded by demons. There's a reason why when you died, you got sent back to the start of the map with just a pistol.

Yep. And it's also single-handedly the quote that took Doom in the wrong direction. The modern Doom games might be OK games in isolation, but they missed the point for me. The original Doom might have had fast movement, but again, this lends into the misconception that Doom was about run and gun action and "ripping and tearing". It wasn't. The original Doom was a horror game, both thematically, and in actual gameplay. It was arguably the first game to be genuinely scary. The...

Yeah, I'm not fussed either.

It's not like there's anything worth playing on the thing anyway. Been gaming for 30 years, and this release for a system is by far the most underwhelming and boring I've ever seen. But sure, it's got a fast hard drive and no loading screens. Brilliant if there's an actual game built for the thing, but the majority are all previous gen and cross gen. Could you imagine buying a Super NES back in the day, only for 90% of th...

300 grams is brilliant and all, but I can do better than that by a couple of kilo's, or by whatever how much the thing weighs because I can't fucking buy one.

Marked as "inappropriate" the first time?
Yeah, it's innapropraite that I can't buy the fuckin thing.

Very distinctive voice. She was perfect for her character in the game.
