He could give 99% of his money away and still be filthy fucking rich enough to have more money that 99.999% of the human population.

There were some good bits in the Lucas part. The escape room part worked well with that creepy statue thing, but yeah, after that it was a bit of an arena battle with molded. The game definitely could have used more enemy types.

The ship? Yeah, some of that felt tacked on a bit, but it did one thing (highlighted specifically in VR) in that it took all of your weapons off you again, so the tension on the ship was as high as it was at the start of the game, I felt. If RE8 doesn't bother with VR, I'm not bothering with it. It's that simple. 7 still has the upper hand.

Keep your shit wannabe film Druckmann. After reluctantly giving Days Gone a chance, that game literally took a giant shit over this series. It might not have been perfect, but by god, on a technical level and a gameplay level, it was everything TLoU aspired to be and failed at in comparison. And no: they are not two separate games. And yes, you can directly compare the two, and that's probably why Days Gone failed, because people saw it as a LoU wannabe with bikers and immediately dismiss...

"goals were ambitious"

Yeah, OK. Like that matters. Still released a shoddy, broken mess and lied about it whilst taking the money. Get f*cked, CDPR. You'd one good game to your name, and I'm starting to think that was a fluke.

You think VR is just jump scares? You mean you've no interest in horrors in VR because they'd be too effective? And you'd be correct. VR sort of has the same effect on horror as what it does on, well, everything else. It makes the flat version seem dated.

This is true. A kid popping a balloon behind your back qualifies as a jump scare when there's fuck all scary about it. It's just a loud noise that startles you. Pity that that is what seems to qualify for horror these days.

Yeah, it's not as if Sony has ever made anything compatible for the PC. Never.

1764d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

You're getting downvoted by the Sony gang here, but I hope you're right. Having a headset that is compatible with console and PC would bring huge sales to the thing, as many will own both. Even so, if it isn't, then I'm sure someone will bring a hack that will enable it to be playable on PC just as the PSVR was, and if that could be used, then it should be straight forward for a headset with standard tracking and controllers, i.e inside out IR.

It's a sad indictment of the industry when in the previous generation, the best games I played were mostly all remakes. Game design in modern games has gone down the shitter.

We'll stop complaining when you so called AAA developers stop pumping out shoddy, unfinished messes at launch. Fair trade? Grand.

1769d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

Pointless.

The entire game was built from the ground up to be VR. That means everything from level design, AI, interactivity, the lot. Basically everything that is next level and only possible in VR and 6DOF. Whoever is doing this is basically gimping the game and making it worse, and if anyone wants to argue with any of that, then you just haven't played a FPS in VR, and it's as simple as that. Every single traditional input method gets absolutely demolished by wh...

Are you his best mate? Lover? Do you wear Sony underpants and have a Playstation bedsheet?

The things fanboys come out with, eh? Facts are that this fella is just another corporate mouthpiece and is only interested in one thing: money and profit. Same as Microsoft's stance. If it isn't going to be making them all the money, then why bother? He made a statement that PSVR wasn't in the immediate plans of the company, only to have that statement thrown back in his ...

I also get the impression he wanted to abandon PSVR. His recent statements - which subsequently weren't true - are evidence of this.

For anyone not born, or anyone living outside of the broadcast range this show aired on, you just don't have a clue on just how monumentally important and amazing this show was. It wasn't just a TV show, it was a statement. It tore up the rule book for what was supposed to be a tame kiddies TV show for video games at the time and didn't apologise for it. And all thanks to in no small part for it's host, Dominik Diamond. In hindsight, some of the jokes him and his co-presenters...

I agree with the sentiment that most of the games are all generally the same generic 3rd person design, essentially just ending up being the same thing. That's not just Sony, though. That is the industry as a whole as it chases the trend that makes it the most cabbage. The next Fortnight or "live service" bollocks. The infinite cash cow if you will. They are all at it, right down to the individual publisher. In fact, its almost been a precedent set by the industry since its inc...

The complaints all seem to stem from the fact that the dev basically just flipped the VR switch on this game, and didn't think of VR-specific issues that would cause in a game that is pushing two decades in age. Scaling being the chief issue. I'm sure that a patch could be quickly worked on to rectify those issues and resolution should also get a bump. Despite the game still translating to be really good in VR (let's be honest, most games are better in VR) these issues still shoul...

Did you see Richard's reaction to Jim Sterling roasting his sensitive little nuts? Taking it seriously? No. Taking the piss? Yes. That's what this guy and his so called "games" are: a piss take, and so, deserves the piss to be taken..
