You mean, you would rather see a world where there are hundreds of millions in your bank balance. People enjoying things has nothing to do with it. Creep.
Don't tell me you think Ireland is a city in England? I wouldn't put it past one of you Yanks to think that.
And this should concern people, because this is the inevitable route the industry will head in once the greedy goblin bean counters at certain publishers view those spreadsheets. In fact, its already headed that way and has been for a few years now. It's no wonder most games these days are shit.
It's like Konami put there GCSE work experience students on their main projects.
There might not have been the quantity of games the PS1 had, but to say there wasn't many top games is disingenuous to that console.
I'm not assuming you are. It's just an addendum to the topic.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say "your posse"? I'm not a FF7 fanboy, but I do love the game, and for obvious reasons; and there is a very good reason why whenever anyone mentions the series, characters like Cloud, Tifa and Barret are immediate go to's, and again, for a very good reason. That game has spawned numerous spin-offs and even anime's and CGI films and c...
And not even the good Tomb Raiders either. There'd be an interesting argument for the original TR for what it did for the PS1, but one of the recent Rambo reboots? Laughable. It's no wonder the industry is in the shitter with loot boxes and the like with the clueless generation of kids buying them these days.
"As for FFVII, please elaborate on what "legacy" is still enduring. It's probably good that it's getting remade"
There's a clue in that. FF7 was the game that cemented the Playstation's place in the industry, and was arguably Nintendo's biggest mistake to lose SE at the time to a then unknown rival that had it all to prove. That's the legacy. FF7 wasn't just a game. It was a watershed moment for Sony, and like all great games,...
Good to know. Except Chrono Trigger is a SNES game.
"WTF IS GOING ON?"
Zoomers.
FF7 and BoTW overrated? In what universe? Both are exemplary games and they certainly don't have to be compared never mind competing. FF7 came out nearly a quarter of a century ago, and its legacy is still enduring. That tells you all you need to know about the calibre of that title, but sure, lets give God of War the best game ever title. Absolute bollocks.
Exactly. This game does absolutely nothing to bring the industry forward. Absolutely mind baffling, but hey, its 2021, and kids are fucking clueless. When you think of the games through the decades that have come before it, it doesn't even get in the top 50. Laughable.
God of War? LOL
OK Zoomer!
Exactly.
This looks fantastic. Proof, if needed, that you could literally port any game to VR, and not only does it refresh it, it improves it. I hope we get more of this sort of thing on the PSVR2. Give us 8 and the RE2 remake like this, and maybe even remaster 7 to give us fully tracked hands this time. Would be incredible.
It's not an "art style". Those environments are real, as in, it actually exists as a real place in real life. This is not a made up track or road.
I recognised that road straight away having been on it in real life many times. It's the north coast road in Portrush in Ireland at the North West 200 race. Can't believe that looks this good and that its actually in a game.
Crazy to think there are comments on here saying "Looks terrible, honestly" when it looks almost exactly the same as the original's aesthetics, and maybe even better due to some dynamic lighting and shadows. It's mad to think back when they made this, this was state of the art, and the game's backgrounds being regarded as high end cgi renders, and could only exist as a static background. Now we have engines that run this in real time, but better, at ridiculous frames and...
Only thing I found cheesy on its release was the intro going through all the characters. It's a good job they edited the background music too, because the originals "I've got a shotgun" was ridiculous, even by 1996 standards.
Or VR. Because in his little mind, there still aren't enough of people in the world yet that have caught on to it, so it makes less dolla. The idiot didn't even know the company was working on PSVR's successor so soon and had to backtrack.
