Durante will need to make another fix... damn lazy companies :(
Great news, I hope this paves the way for more of Vanillaware's amazing titles like Muramasa and Dragons Crown being ported to new consoles and PC. Their art style is nothing short of breathtaking and their games beautiful.
It's 3 games and all their DLC, with FPS and resolution doubled and cleaned up... Imagine each selling at $19.99.
Wow, this looks AMAZING! What an upgrade!
That amazing Hyrdra battle was like NOTHING I'd ever seen before in my entire life as a gamer. I still have that demo disc, it was amazing. Quick time events where not burned out and, in fact, a total novelty. You felt power behind every button press and the gameplay was so vicious.
One of the best moments in gaming for sure, a game changer for all games that followed.
100% agreed. It's not that it's bad, but after 2, it just fell short.
I would have liked to start (or be able to play) 3 with all the GOW2 power-ups from the start, being used for cool puzzles and such and maybe losing the abilities (for new ones) halfway through the game, not using the same formula again and again.
My GOW2 Kratos would have chased Hades into the underworld, not been thrown there for the (6th?) time. And the Zeus battle was overall underwhelmi...
Here's my list:
6. Ghost of Sparta (good gameplay, but the story adds nothing)
5. Chains of Olympus (very good story though, the game is weak)
4. GoW 3 (drawn out ending to 2 with great setpieces)
3. GoW Ascension (better gameplay than 1)
2. GoW 1 (better story than Ascension + nostalgia)
1. GoW 2 (perfection)
GOW 3 had a ton of potential, but the story and boss battles, despite of their scope, were overall underwhe...
*sigh* I swear that these generic articles don't contribute anything, this isn't news, why are they being approved?
Not only that, the writer clearly doesn't know much about the series, seeing as there's no mention of Valley of Defilement in Demon's Souls. Uniformed comments about known info such as "praise the sun" being in DS3 (unfortunately, since this has devolved into a trope and buzzword for the most part like it's needless addition to...

Stopped reading there...
Truer words have never been spoken. The day an E3/Gamescon/TGS reveal starts with a black screen and the familiar chant of "Soul of the mind, key to life's ether" I'll start weeping tears of joy.
Yep, what @DragonKnight said.
Even when reading through the Design Works you can see how much was changed in order to rush the game, not to mention the major graphical downgrade. It seems like every interesting idea was scrapped and good level design and bosses were intentionally withheld in order for the DLC to exist.

Best thing I've read all day and 100% lore true. Marked Funny as well for you taking the risk :)
Personally, I'd love if they delved deeper into the 3 factions for the DLC, giving us hunter of hunter stories, more Vileblood missions and interactions (as well as more crown of illusion spots) and more executioner things in general, as they hardly got anything other than Alfred
Correct. I don't agree with this decision, but I understand it fully. I can imagine a board meeting discussing the profit margin from Digital Entertainment (video games) VS gaming and systems (mobile and gambling)... It's simply no contest and shareholders want a bigger return on investment, it's simple math. AAA game production is expensive, slot, mobile and pachinko machines are cheap.

They're not saying that at all. When the say "future of gaming" they are speaking from a financial standpoint and sadly, they are partially right.
Mobile gaming generates sick revenue for very low production costs. Using well-known figures like castlevania and metal gear characters introduces players who would normally not be interested in this type of game into your web and the company proceeds to milk them from there with an early hook and a pay-to-proceed me...
Great review!
>How to beat
6 blood vials, no visceral attacks and tons of luck when avoiding the A Call Beyond... Yeah, it's easier to just parry her telegraphed cane-whip strikes, dodge/roll behind when she does Augur of Ebrietas and charge R2 for visceral. When she charges A Call Beyond just shoot her.
Ummmm, what? Did we play the same game?
You can delete the day 1 patch and get 2500 Koins instead of 200 from boss fights.
If you beat the story and some kombat towers without the patch you should be able to easily unlock most of the Krypt and install the patch once you want to start going online. Terrible move by NRS, I'm terribly disappointed in this decision...
