Yup, the original Xbox was Dreamcast 2.0 at the time.

Shinoff2183 so, that’s not MS strategy. It’s crazy how the Sony Pony Phony’s consensus is for MS to compete, but it has to be based upon their reasoning, their “moral compass” and should still benefit them. Profits should only be maximized when they say so. “ oh COD sells more on PlayStation therefore it should stay on PlayStation forever. Sorry business doesn’t work like that either adapt or move on to something else.

MrDead as soon as we can expect Final fantasy seven to go Multiplatform too or Street Fighter V to drop multiplat… I mean those games are love and adored by all fan bases. But, I’m sure you’ll find away to move the goal post on those. look it’s very simple, when a Bethesda game releases year over year and makes the same amount as COD expect to see it on PlayStation. Games such as elder scrolls which release every few years can and should be exclusive to who ever owns them. You want to play it...

@stormsnooper no I haven’t been watching tv. I have a degree in business management which also study’s law. This judge, and majority of Sony Ponys are against this case with extreme bias. Because if you have been following it for real, there is no way you can say the FTC did a stellar job proving they’re interested in protecting the consumer. Their job was to show, without a shadow of a doubt that the info they provided went against the customer, and it didn’t. A lot of their info was incomp...

It’s only favorable because FTC’s concerns are petty, and appear to be one sided.

@stormsnooper, so show me in this case where she didn’t allow them to provide evidence to prove their points without a shadow of a doubt. Also show me where the FTC proved this was bad for the consumer. The Judge was not biased and challenged Sony to provide solid info. Again her son has no power, presents over this case. He isn’t a ceo, on the board, and she asked if there was a problem the staff said no. Can we now please put it to rest because this reaching and goal post moving is enough...

@4show they used a black shapey pen to blur out sensitive information that showed through when scanned, lol. I mean, how foolish can they be? The FTC wasn’t ready and boy did it show.

1083d ago 7 agree10 disagreeView comment

Shouldn’t the FTC be able to prove their points? Why would she be “recusing” herself? her son doesn’t hold any weight in this case, and even if he did The FTC still didn’t prove the deal was bad for consumers… unless you have unbiased, proof?

@jznrpg orrrrr this will force other companies to compete and offer better content in their streaming space.

Right! As it was proven this week in The FTC’s arguments. Their whole testimony was centered around protection of Sony not the consumer. I don’t know much of the CMA’s case in the appeal but it’s starting to mirror the FTC case.

That’s the part I don’t get they screaming about the judge’s son, but does that really change the facts about the case? Bottom line the FTC did a poor job we could switch judges, use her son, and feel away, but what remains true is the FTC failed to proved their case. But hold tight a verdict hasn’t come yet the deal could still be blocked.

Lol! What influence?! The FTC destroyed the case all on their own. Are you kidding me, “direct influence” so you think her son’s influence changes the fact that the FTC couldn’t prove why this was anti consumer. Wait wait, his influence could sway his mom even though the lawyers were clearly protecting Sony through out this case. Man cut the BS and stop reaching.

It’s still a reach, and again what difference does it make? The FTC still failed to prove why this was anti consumer. The Trade Commission Spent days defending Sony not the consumer. Her Son being apart of Microsoft has no bearing on the poor job The FTC has done. Now if the FTC had a legit solid case I’d agree, but this is such a reach and a spin to cope with the fact the FTC had nothing, and wasted time. The thing is MS could still lose.

So let me get this right, the CMA wants to delay because they don’t have representation that’s experienced in the subject, but knew an appeal was coming hours after they blocked this merger? How you block the deal, but now don’t have the experience personal to challenge the appeal. The CMA was quick to block, but now want to be slow to show? You can’t make this stuff up.

1084d ago 11 agree3 disagreeView comment

Its simple, nothing. It’s just being used because there is nothing left to use to block the deal by those who don’t want it to go through. Even if they (government) threw the case out and retried it the FTC would still fail to show why this deal is anti consumer. The FTC spent their entire testimony on protecting Sony and its position. It got to a point where the judge again had to remind the FTC lawyers that they were there to protect the consumer not Sony. This last five days was really a ...

Have you forgotten that games were being beat in a week or less time back then? Most of the people beat and returned, back to renting a game again. Trust me I know, I was one of them. Then the fact blockbuster had 6-8 copies of the same game that they didn’t pay retail for, with 9000 stores states wide doing the same with the possibility of buying sound cool to you as a developer/publisher? If so then there shouldn’t be an issue with game pass because it does the same thing essentially

Of course a lot don’t . Anything that can take away from sales is always frowned upon in business. So that’s no surprise. They will find ways to evolve and still over come losses. Take the video game rental era. You think they were happy with 9,000 Blockbusters renting multiple copies of their games to customers? How about the buy and trade market? The business is forever changing and adjusting. This is just another avenue and with time the market will adjust, and then something else will tak...

That’s no surprise. Zelda is a very established ip that’s been stellar. In my opinion Zelda has the only truly perfectly rated game… “Zelda Ocarina of Time” I digress, with the history of Zelda and a large fan based why wouldn’t it?
