They had nothing to say during the conference so they chose to end on a petty note. Which is what they're starting to be all about! Yeah... Real good job Sony /s
Sony messed up at the beginning of the current gen lol theyre not without flaws by far. They're just as arrogant as ms
The "Social Networking System"...why?...
That doesn't happen to every business. I like Sony as a tech company but that's a move that failing businesses make to survive, you kill a few to save many and if you don't kill the few you risk killing everybody and like Sony or not. They are needed as a company. Just as the same can be said for Microsoft. Sony needed to survive so they simply axed a couple of divisions.
Oh and the XOne could very well be a failure but it wouldn't kill off ms...it would hurt...
@jimmy how exactly is gaming evolving??? Look at our current systems and then look at the next gen systems. There's no TRUE innovation, just hardware upgrades. To me, that not "evolving" its just surviving. I vote for evolution and innovation, I don't want tech companies to simply survive. I want them to show me what's beyond our viewpoint as just the consumer.
PS4 is kind of weird looking. I remember when they showed it at E3, the first thing that popped in my head was "oh...that's a bit ugly." I wasn't hyped over the design of the One either but...PS4 is slanted...its slanted lol wtf is up with that?!?
I've been seeing reports of them definitely adding some sort of TV support. You also have to look at long term functionality and ask yourself "what additions do we want to bring to this system?" When figuring out something like that reserved memory does come into account. Reserving three is probably not needed on PS4 but to be safe they should of reserved 2gb.
Mark Cerny is one of my favorite people to listen to. He's definitely an up and comer in Sony's company.
Why are some gamers so afraid of change? All we do is deny and deny and deny anything that may step out of the tradition. I hold to what I said earlier, they will be more powerful and it won't be for no reason. Also there are good games out there for tablets and other mobile devices. In ending this all I have to say is change is coming to the gaming industry more and more companies are trying to step into this realm. I leave with these four words, GET USE TO IT!
I hate the system they have in place when it comes to buying products on PSN. Where you choose a predetermined amount and they take that from your credit card. I wish they would change it to simply buying a digital product and paying that amount. This feature would be perfect for that.
Sony has no chance in that market. Their tablets are good but Apple, Samsung and Asus have that market locked down
I knew this was coming sooner rather than later. Devs have been saying this for sometime now and that eventually they'll pass consoles. Now if more devs like EA and others would make real games for tablets.
Sony better show more exclusives because their launch exclusives are nothing exciting right now.
Besides their announcements about DRM and the such. Sony's E3 press conference was pretty weak. IMO
I get the feeling the XOne will be the new PS3 fanfare wise. If you notice it's kind of following in the same suite. Think about it, it cost the most (PS3 was $599), their system cost is a bit more because of tech they're trying to push (PS3 had bluray) and this one is only my opinion they have the better launch lineup so far. Microsoft seems to be a little ahead of where Sony was at this point because they're making changes before the systems release, not after the fact.
@raytraceme and @Donnieboi There's a difference between Microsoft and Sony's, Android and iOS push to cellphones and tablets. Right now Smart glass is available on more devices, while PS Mobile is on a very limited number of devices right now. They have to be "PlayStation Certified" first, whatever that means.
I have a bachelors in finance and working on my masters and I can tell you that those analysts are out of their minds. With Microsoft's windows division facing tough competition from Chrome and iOS their PC market share has dwindled down considerably. It would be in their best interests not to sell a division that brings in steady income.
YES!!! With new characters!
@EcoSos3 I'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish because I agree lol the Vita needs some help too! Maybe PS4 will be that help
Also when it comes to home consoles that just isn't suppose to happen. Your new version should be your best seller.
Damn...the Wii is beating the WiiU. Time to right the ship Nintendo or it's going to sink.
Agreed. This isn't the Sony I like. They're turning back into the arrogant a**holes who told people to get a second job to buy their system. Its childish and bad image imo
