AC2 was the peak for me AC:B felt like an expansion to 2 (Rome was obviously supposed to be part of 2 before the annual releases) plus it brought in the dreaded 'ubi-towers' 2 has a far better story and character development also
This is why you should wait 6 months for these huge open worlds RPG's, I really doubt Fallout 4 will be much different from Skyrim, another RPG I should have waited 6 months or so before I played
I had this game pre-ordered, I was always silently hyped for it.Id much rather play an interactive story like this than repetitive open world games like Mad Max, Far Cry 4 no matter how much 'fun' they can be I get massive open world fatigue with them unless done amazingly well like The Witcher 3 or MGS V
Im playing SOMA at the moment and its games like this and Until Dawn which I just love to play outside of the big AAA tentpole releases
I dont have an Xbox One but for the first time ever today (because of Halo 5) I actually thought about buying one, I wont get one until at least late next year because I am not buying a console solely to play 1 campaign of a Halo game and by next Christmasmas there might be a Gears 4 and Quantum break two other exclusives I am also looking forward to
IN terms of Tomb Raider however I might just get it for my Xbox 360 and buy it a second time on the PS4
you could put 5 Mass Effect characters in here
I also hated one, but AC2 turned out to be one of my favourite games ever, I literally had no hype for AC2 (despite the great reviews) when I put in on I was like 'ok well you have got to wow me' and it did , just a stunning game play it
Loved The New Order! I dont know why I was surprised as I believe alot of people working on this worked on The Darkness and Riddick EFBB
The expansion The Old Blood was probably even better, it gave off a Half Life 2 quality to me
Yes I completely agree, Im all for games getting delayed if it means a more polished product, im playing TW3 now and just encountered a quest glitch which has really annoyed me because I waited 4 months to play a more polished version of it even if D2 come out as late as September/October that is fine with me
Got 2nd in the UK charts just behind Gears oF War, and only dropped to 4th last week
I also expected it to be good, I had the game pre- ordered once I knew the release date as Im a huge fan of these types of games, a huge breath of fresh air Until Dawn was
Loved the more grounded and horror feel of the e3 demo,
Completed this twice both at Christmas time, I'll complete it again this xmas I reckon
I haven,t 100%'d Arkham Knight so I wont rank them, Origin is obvs the worst I found the open world a bit bland and very much like anArkham City 2.5 but I liked the story, Asylum and City are too close to call always have been for me
Theres no doubt from a gameplay point Arkham Knight is the best, the sheer options and ways you can take down checkpoints and towers is so varied and dynamic and traversing that huge open world with a fully upgraded Batmobile and Batsuit is j...
2nd favourite game of the generation for me just behind Mass Effect 2,amazing story and rounded morally grey characters, and a great sense of adventure and I preferred it even to Uncharted 2 (which you played at the developers pace) this was pure immersion, it had a half life 2 quality and a great sense of adventure, Id put it right up there with RE4 and HL2 (which I feel are all similiar in many ways)
Killzone has better art direction than Halo?.......no just no
Agreed, really looking forward to this
I pledged $250 for my collectors edition! first time I ever funded anything
I will never forget the day I put Shenmue on on that fateful Christmas morning in the year 2000
Nah late 2016 considering they havent shown off any gameplay
It was phenomenal but I should have waited 6 months or so before I played it because the quest bugs and glitches really tarnished my experience of the game but it still maDe my top 10 of the generation, which is why I'm waiting til Christmas for TW3...well that and I don't want to spend 100+ hours sitting indoors during summertime!
Can you count Mass Effect 2 as an RPG? If so thats my favourite game of the last gen
I actually liked 3 alot too, preferred it to 4
