Before that, Uncharted was shaped by "Gritty Xbox shooters" - NaughtyDog.
Every game shapes another.
For console conferences Sony won, but only because it was the best of worst. Overall I think Ubisoft stole the show with Watch Dogs.
What operating system and programming language do they use in the Sony offices again? Companies pay each other every day.
HipHop Gamer is a joke.
Rockstar always utilizes all of its studios to get a game out the doors. This is nothing new.
Dead Space was never really scary, it was always first and foremost an action game. Especially Dead Space 2.
Do people realize that when you release a game you are shipping a beta? It's just renamed gold when the publisher says to give it to manufacturing. But anyways, the game was an absolutely terrible port. They toned down the fog to make the game more HD? They didn't realize toning down the fog would reveal map seams that would otherwise be covered? Ugh.
I really don't like games that don't have a personal storyline and you just go mission to mission, but after seeing the TV spot with the hyper HALO jump... I'm sold.
Read the actual article next time and not just the title.
FOV options should be mandatory on all ports or console inclined games.
Tip from personal experience, be a programmer or character modeler. Development companies are always looking for programmers and skilled modelers.
This is the same reason on-disc DLC is popular with many companies.
I also do not see them making a heavy investment into a new/licensed engine until the next cycle of consoles.
They are still running on a heavily modified id Tech 3 engine. Activision should invest in a new proprietary engine or license a more modern engine. Call of Duty games may look slightly outdated, but they all run at 60 FPS on all consoles so you really have choose one or the other.
This, like most other people, was my most anticipated launch game. SCEA was very stupid for not coming out the gate in America with this one. At least it will get me back on my Vita after this prolonged hiatus.
It's weird that people forgot that incident. The ban didn't last long at all.
This is a perfect explanation. There is a reason movies have been filmed at 24fps for so long, I don't think we will ever accept a higher frames rate for blockblusters and the like.
The Lord of the Rings Blu-ray is 24fps, the video quality has nothing to do with video speed.
Why would this random website "SPOnG" have such a large inside source?
Maybe if I hear it for a more legitimate news source.
Also this game has sold 1.8+ million copies, I don't understand why people keep going back to it's sales.
I loved it, but I wish the animations weren't so damn stuff. It really takes away from the quality of the scenes.
It's ok, they ended with a spectacular fireworks show...
