is that you simply repeat everything you've heard/said. I can make a program in a couple of seconds that displays a black screen that will max out my quad core. I can also make a program that displays the same black screen while using almost no cpu. so, obviously, its possible to make the same thing more efficiently. I could say I'm using 100% of all 4 cores, or, I can say I'm wasting a lot of cpu on bad programming...you just don't hear too many devs admit to it. I know I would never admit t...

have you seen the new indiana jones movie? its as if lucas stole several aspects including plot, characters, and scenes from uncharted. weird..except uncharted was much better than indiana jones.
theres no need to be on the latest edge... nvidias 8800's and ati's 4850 or 3870 are still just fine for the time being(unless crysis on max). I myself like to be somewhere above average with 2 4870's and a quad core, but thats completely unnecessary for most.

that's where the article is wrong. They didn't search the entire planet with the goal of finding the most difficult system to work with. They developed the BEST multimedia processor, and because it's new, it's hard. That's all.
it means that standard, basic, easy to use gear is inferior. When it comes to physics and multimedia, it doesn't get much better than cell. However, since most PC's do not use cell, it is "harder to program for".

killzone 1 wasn't a bad game at all. At least the single player was quite good.
i played bf2 with 3d and it was awesome. but at the time you needed a crt.
a lot of the screens you put links to are from the detail mods, like the rough water. And i never said crysis is ugly, just empty. its hard to describe it really. Maybe its the giant jungle with like 3 animals that live there..i dont know. crysis is a great looking game, but no sane person can tell me it has better animations, sounds, effects, physics than kz2.
