So after a generation of gaming where it was important, all of a sudden it isn't? Nope! Try again. It is important and is definitely noticeable. Why on earth would someone get an xbone to play a game when they can get a cheaper console that does it better? Exclusives? Whatever floats your boat sunshine...
7 was the transition into the next generation of rpg games on consoles and IS considered not only a milestone, but also a masterpiece for serious Final Fantasy and JRPG fans.
So yes. What I said, yes.
They are better? Well that's your opinion. The fact is that they would be good enough with just a HD makeover. FF7 is the one that would benefit the most from a complete remake.
Not to mention... a 7 remake IS the most asked for. Fact.
8 and 9 don't need a remake IMHO. A HD job, why not. But a remake? 7 is and always has been their masterpiece. It deserves that kind of treatment.
It is something that is going to be with the xbone for its entire life. If they every tried to change it by upgrading it on a future version of the console it would leave previous owners with a system that either can't run games designed to run on the better hardware, or to run them extremely poorly. Poor poor MS.
Now I just wanna state that I don't have a time machine, I don't have a power to see into the future, and an alien didnt tell me. So, with all those things in mind, the ps4 is going to be a massive success and make the xbone look like a complete failure. FACT!
@Izzy408
The people that really lost here are you and the xbones. Would you prefer to play it at reduced settings? Or, would you like to have played it on a console that could have pushed it to the maximum settings and had a far better looking game? The devs were stuck with an underperforming console instead of the ps4 which had lots of power to spare. Put it this way, if you say that you would rather buy product (titanfall xbone) that is inferior to another product (titanfall ps4) th...
I think Sony was like...
"Hmmm, a massive, popular game that already has a very large fan base, can support the maxed out settings from the PC version, supports thousands of players, and is free
or
6vs6 with bots?"
Yeah, Sony chose right.
@TheRedButterfly
Laugh at you for thinking that Kotaku sets the standard for gaming journalism. Hahahahahahahaha
They steal stories, pay hackers, bully developers for months on end, have a pervert guy in Japan posting pictures of preteen girls, and Patricia the horse. Yep... They are obvious ahead of the pack.
It ain't my fault you don't have a sense of humor and can't laugh at Microsoft and their failure. The rest of the world minus the xbones (nickname for blind xbone fanboys) laugh their heads off at ms daily.
That's a funny way to say "this article is 100% accurate"...
I really have to thank MS. Every week they give me something to laugh about. It's always a joy to hear about their absolute failure. Sega, one of the original giants, dropped out of the console race. It isn't impossible for this to happen to MS too. Fingers crossed!
@fermcr
You're not a fanboy? You got to be joking.
It's a bit hard to make a nice omelet when all you have to work with is a rotten egg. Get it? Try to understand it is the limitations of your beloved xbone that are restricting developers.
Then why are you playing MGS games? They have always been like that. Probably you should just go play something else. How about the original MG games. Lots of text, but not as long.
@come_bom
Please refresh me... when was the last time you made a multiplatform game? Never you say? Well that's a pretty bold statement coming from someone that has absolutely no experience in developing games.
He had 2 next gen systems to work with. He pushed the game as far as he could on the ps4 and had room to spare. With the xbone, you can only work with what you have. So that's why you are left with the inferior product. Not because of the developer, but...
@ovnipc
Don't believe what the morons at Kotaku said. Kojima and his representatives stated that what Kotaku said were complete lies about the length of the game. Those idiots just like to make drama and try to look important when all they are are a bunch of hacks.
Final Fantasy 15 coming soon to an xbone near you in a blistering 720p!!!
@alexkoepp
Right... because I buy a game machine to play movies and a dvd player to play games...
Oh, just wait... game consoles play GAMES! Who would have thought that! Amazing, right?
@Unspoken
Ahhh... The only hypocrit I see here is the xbone fanboy that is constantly complaining that the resolution of the game isn't important but is now saying Sony is below par for not being able to achieve it. So which is it? Resolution doesn't matter and you think what Sony are shooting for here is great, or you think that resolution isn't good enough for next gen and agree that every xbone game is terrible?
Smooth move MS. Just keeps going downhill with this xbone thing doesn't it.
I would like to see how the xbone fanboys defend this one.
