This reminds me of the Dead Space "Your mom will hate this game" campaign. Gaming has come a long way in being accepted as a legitimate art-form... Then stuff like this comes up and sets us back. Disappointing, to say the least.
I think it would ruin the character. Spartan-117 is the character that he is because you don't know what he looks like. I worry it would disappoint gamers.

Just finished the demo. Not too bad. A few things they could work on, but I'm ALWAYS looking forward to a new survival horror.

I don't know about that. The DS had Pokemon, Mario, and Zelda.
The trade-off for the DS being less "technologically advanced" is a reduced price.

The article appears to be rather biased. There are many Halo fans, yes. Some, like me, aren't looking forward to Halo 4 (or 5 or 6). The series had a wonderful ending. We're jeopardizing the quality of the series by dragging it on. The fact that it's John 117 again only diminishes its chances of outright approval.
I just believe that Halo has had a good run. Let's not ruin the memories. You all remember when they tried to bring Scrubs back? Oh goodness.
