What do you think the story is because when people use words to describe the story like gentrification, social justice, and discrimination and that's people excited about it I am willing to bet race has a lot to do with the story and it's not unnecessarily brought up if it's playing a role in the story. Agreed, I really think moving forward will be a two console release, there will be a cheap end Xbox that will play all Xbox games minus VR, and then a VR capable higher price end model and they will try to pickup the software side rather than try to compete on hardware.

Maybe that's the point. If the software sales increase they will still get major third party support. If they try to focus Xbox to a specific group, console only and VR ready, they still come out on top. Software sales is where the money is so if they don't have to sell as many consoles and can hear them specifically for a narrow market rather than wide market they spend less on consoles and make the same or more on software.

Unless MS lets me share my license cross platform, as in some of the games I've bought for Xbox can now be played on my pc natively not streamed than I would be way more tempted to use ms store to get those installed.
