As someone who liked Bioware because of KotOR, Jade Empire, and Neverwinter but never got into ME it is nice to see something new~ish (we will see how "new" it is tomorrow).

Yeah controls on the phone are garbage, but its still with you all day long. My pc doesnt goto appointments, to work, on breaks... its at home. If I want to play games I want to play them on a PC too. But it doesnt mean its easily accessible.
Convenience and proximity, my phone fits in my pocket and it goes everywhere with me. My PC stays in my office. One of them I have on me 18+ hours a day while the other I have around 5.
If I am out and have 30 min in a waiting room a mobile game is my only option and a PC isnt with me.
Phones are inferior game wise but they are still there, all the time, with plenty of games to throw small amount of money at.

Shoot, parts of the games you probably play everyday where touched by a Chinese studio at some point if you play any major games from Ubisoft (Far Cry 4 and soon 5) or EA. Rockstar has an animation team in India.

I'm not really sure, either I always got mine through pre-order or didn't get one for a long time. So my anecdotal evidence would suggest if you knew you wanted one and took the time to pre-order you were probably okay, If you waited for release, its pretty hit and miss.
There are a few reasons, One a product has an MSRP but anyone can charge whatever they want for it. Concert/sports/event tickets have the price listed on the ticket that the event charged specifically to prevent people from overpaying what the event was charging.
Nintendo puts out an MSRP but there is nothing stopping a store from selling it over that other than losing customers. This does happen with low shortage products too... I remember when retail companies were sellin...
