Im sure you typed this on your treadmill desk in your swanky high rise apartment in between multi million dollar mergers and stock trades right before doing a line off a hookers rear-end.
All I could think of was Family Guy's Peter trying to drink all the beer to get the golden ticket to the brewery.
The problem with that type of definition would be that it encompasses almost every phone, tablet, and laptop too.
Being able to dock and output to a TV does not make the console a "Hybrid" Had their actually been hardware inside the dock, that helped, then I would say sure that is a hybrid. but the entire machine is portable, and does not rely on the dock for anything. Which was always our definition of a portable device. What makes it "Hybrid" and not j...
""Power defines everything" logic"... No I think the built in screen, controllers, and size defines it as portable... That is the logic.
Nintendo Shot portable technology in the face with the switch because now all portable game devices better be able to run its caliber of games, but lets not pretend its anything but a portable console I can output to a TV. And really the only people supporting dedicated portable game devices is Nintendo.
Define "competing"... If you think it is taking sales out of PS4 and Xbox hands I would say that is a stretch at this point. I dont know or have heard from anyone that owns a Switch but doesn't own another console. New to market people like parents buying a child their first console maybe but the largest demographic in games is not children, and the switch is a secondary or in most cases a tertiary game device. I like my switch but it sure hasn't stopped me from buying any g...
You realize the Xbox One sold ~4 million in the first five months, and PS4 sold ~7.23 million too right... sales do drop off you know.
I have no doubt that the Switch will sell 40+ million in its lifetime... but unless they cut the cord on the DS it will stuggle to push past 60 million.
Nintendo already lost with a 13 million lifetime, not even being produced anymore Nintendo WiiU, or are we going to forget that nightmare of a sales machine?
"in the end"
In the end lots of consoles outsell older generation consoles. So yes by the time Nintendo makes another console I could see it out selling the Xbox One... but I can also see Xbox One's not being made and them already on to their next generation console before that happens. I dont see it catching up to PS4 unless they "86" the Nintedno DS line and convert the games over.
Mercenaries!
"The change was likely just a design choice in the end..." Sure, had nothing to do with any of the complaining about that specific issue. Which you clearly inferred but didnt want to bring up because you are just as cowardly as Nintendo.
Bunch of cowards, this is exactly why people complain. If it works you cant blame them for it either... It is like seeing a child crying in a store because they want candy and then parents get it for them... what do you think they...
Not clicking on cheatcc articles anymore but the answer is, its not... hasnt really been. The issue usually stems from the depiction of sex, not the topic. Sex has been in games for a LONG time. Naked people running across the screen is where it starts to get iffy because people still see games as content for children or that is marketed to children. So then you have the Joe Camel effect of it may be for adults but it feels like they are marketing to children.
@InTheZoneAC
Apparently you missed the "If ps5 does 8k and we go..." which is clear someone is "thinking" it is a possibility.
This isnt opinion, there are statements made as facts that arent anywhere close to it and have no evidence to back them up. This is the epitome of bad writing. Its one thing to write about how you feel... its another to write and make assumptions about others with no way to back your assumption up with data.
what does that really have to do with anything he is saying? He isnt talking about how many consoles will sell. He is talking about developers having access to more power to make better games, which in turn will grow the industry.
Ubisoft stock in 2007 ~$13... Ubisoft stock 2017 ~$50. They obviously know how to grow a company.
Who said it is going to sell "Better"? Really, who said it would, that is a respectable source, name ONE source. Stop making shit up to make yourself sound good.
Maybe settle down a bit, take a few deep breaths, and realize... its just games.
They could always do the Korean War.
Rice!
No.
