MS Studios went from 6 studios to 11 studios and you are saying that is not big.
Playground Games is a AAA studio so the purchase was mediocre at best but still needed to be done especially since they now work on two of MS established IPs (Assuming the second game is Fable)
That being said the SoD devs are/were not a AAA studio. So bringing them in and making them a proper AAA studio and budget I am expecting good things out of them. Innovation and leaps...
Yeah no good games have ever gotten below a 90 on Metacritic. Dont you know, if its not a 90+ its TRASH!
gtfo with that nonsense.
I will be happy if this comes to Switch. Otherwise its just something cool out of my region that I will never get to enjoy.
One mans trash is another mans treasure.
"How is giving you control of your own media consumption anarchy?"
Because these people dont understand the concepts of freedom and personal responsibility. They have been spoon fed an idea that people (in this case steam) knows better than you what is good and bad and Steam should protect you from yourself.
I bet if you tested everyone who thinks this is a bad idea 95% of them have an external locus of control.
@Cobra
You are wrong on both ends. Steam is operated like a consignment store. It holds your products, sells them for you, and takes a percentage off the top. A (general) store BUYS the products from the distributors or manufacturers and then RESELLS them (at a profit or loss). Steam does not own the games (except for their own of course) they simply provide the location for convenience for others to buy them.
If Steam started buying all its licenses befo...
I have. It's very slick. I need the portability since my people are out and about most the day and when they come back to the office they just plug into the dock and have a two monitor setup. I am pretty close to removing their desktop computers for anyone but our admin staff and just using the Surfaces.
Steam is closer to the land owner of a farmers market, if people pay them they can sell their goods here. It's up to the buyer not to buy the rotten fruit.
Caveat emptor.
They want to be able to blame someone else when their decisions back fire.
No personal responsibility anymore. It's rather sad honestly.
MS makes one of the best portable pieces of hardware available that no other company comes close to it's power and convienence. The Surface is amazing for my techs out in the field. It's small and has an i7 CPU and 16GB ram in a tablet form factor. Not to mention I don't have to pay extra money to develop and release our own software on it like our old iPads.
MS makes plenty of good hardware, it's just that it usually benefits enterprise customers more than ...
After replaying that conference in my head, all the cringe worthy stops for applause but then realizations they forgot to invite fans in the room to make room for media, the terrible we arent evil we donate to SJ causes, and F THEM for ruining C&C even more. You know what you convinced me. It may be the worst one I have seen too. Although the EA conference from 2 years ago was bad but not this cringe worthy.
WOW! BluRay quality is now "horrible quality" it is by definition FULL HIGH DEFINITION (HD) and you say its supposed to look bad.
I think its a two fold issue. One we are spoiled by lots of good games, and two none of the publishers are taking risks they are releasing the same stuff over and over again. So when we get a game we like all the sudden a bunch of games just like it start coming out. Makes it all look the same and feel bland.
That conference wasnt close to worst ever but it was VERY BAD.
The comment "A New Command & Conquer for a new generation." made me so mad.
FU too then i guess.
I wish I could get excited but its going to take more than this after last years "42" number and 2017-2018 looking like crap with releases.
They need to not just be big, they need to look fun, and they need to actually release.
It also worries me that he didnt say how many were exclusive... I wish he hadnt said anything now.
I want to be excited, but MS makes it really hard to love them sometimes.
Blindfold someone and have them listen to this trailer... then ask if it is Anthem or the new Destiny DLC...
Without the words "Anthem of creation" it sounds like a destiny clone.
That whole Anthem panel was basically a waste of time. Almost nothing actually ABOUT the game. It was full of a bunch of non answers until the end then they gave people actual information.
That description sounds extremely uninspiring. How very stereotypical and trope like, to go from rejected to Spartan in a story.
It can have all the "RPG" elements it wants but if it still has the stealth/assassination removed it's just an assissins game in story only and not gameplay like Origins was.
People hate MS, they were just trying to rationalize the hate. So when you take away the excuses "They dont have enough exclusives or first party studios." They will just come up with new excuses "They destroy every studio they touch."
