I remember thinking that this had to be an april fools joke because of its release date. I guess I was the only fool!

Game looks interesting and I cant wait to try it.

"...humanity’s next step in hyperrealistic goat simulation technology."

I always knew there was something missing in my life.

I was referencing the Wii in that comment while stating I was happy that they seem to be going back to ability to use a game pad and if they release more games that peak my interest that I don't have to flip my wrists to play I will buy one.

"...which featured into a larger conversation on gender politics in game journalism."

The complaint started that way and then it went into a LARGER ISSUE discussing the WHOLE industry.

The problem with this list is it doesn't appeal to me in the terms to persuade someone who hasn't bought the console yet, but the article doesn't actually do that.

Half the list is stuff that everyone knew from before it was out to one or two months into it. Backwards comparability and the game pad with some homebrew are nothing NEW. Why would it all the sudden convince me to buy it NOW as opposed to before. Cross buy games only works if you also own a 3ds so agai...

This game looks awesome. I never thought I would want a WiiU but if they keep coming out with games like this than I will have to buckle under and fork over money to Nintendo again.

Only in one way would I ever say that it is true only if you are looking at it from a relation of market share.

It is much harder to make a casual game that will grab 1/10 the casual market than it is to create a hardcore game and grab 1/10 of that respective genres market. But the reasons are population and a flooded market.

I would say as far as ACTUALLY CREATING the game I would disagree.

You cant throw an argument into the public domain and expect it to stay private. If she wanted this to be a private issue than she should have kept it between her and Giant Bomb... But she didn't she wanted to rile up support and it backfired. Crap like this is larger than Giant Bomb and many people aren't speaking FOR Giant Bomb or their community they are defending or attacking the principle and ideals of what she decided to spew out. Just because Giant Bomb was the target does not ...

Lets not throw every feminist under the bus as a gross generalization. Not all feminists are like this, which is why many people use the term feminazi.

She is acting like this but again not every feminist has this type of viewpoint.

Feminazis want to force people to buckle under in an equality for all regardless of action or ability, socialist (nazi movement was a socialist party movement) which is in line with Marxist and communistic views and beliefs.

"Hypocrite much?" No actually I try really hard to not "hypocrite much" as I am a firm believer against contradictions.

I took what you said and went strait to twitter and not just the article and I see how the response fits in as a joke. The article states the response to be interesting which to me is not a sign of funny so the article set me up for an emotion that wasn't in keeping with a joke, a la I didn't get the humor.

Yes because if you don't like what I do you are a jerk. We should all love the exact same things and live the exact same way with the same likes and dislikes. All hail the death of individualism and personal tastes.

How do you figure?

I'm usually a fan of comedy but I don't see any joke here unless you take it literally like Eonjay is referencing which would be human sacrifice of life (of programmers) which I didn't read when I read the quote.

I would say swing and a miss then because it would have two meanings in its context.

"The only sacrifices were the lives of our programmers."

A little over dramatic.

As if they aren't getting paid for the work they do.

Not to mention who is forcing them to sacrifice their lives? Its not us the customers saying they cant go home until they finish this milestone.

I appreciate the hard work they do but this just screams "Look at us we work harder than anyone." just to get some attention ...

This article is garbage. No wonder this guy was able to work for the Wall Street Journal.

Just because people don't understand or improperly use a term does not mean you just throw it out the window. Pin it down come up with a standard definition and move on.

Independent refers to publishing outside what is considered the standard "system" For music that was labels (publishers) that were not part of the big 4, for movies it was without the large...

"Nope! Wiki is not a source of facts, sorry!"

You sound as ignorant as a high school or community college teacher.

Wikipedia is usually backed by sources so let me help you with this. Since you refused to even look for a source and just discarded it because it said Wikipedia.

so for the statement

Cloud computing is far from a gimmick I use it everyday to work. It feels that way in gaming because it hasn't reached its potential but the concept of running processes on external machines through a console (Not game but in network terms) is far from a gimmick and allows many people to do things that they wouldn't be able to do other wise without a ton of money spent.

I don't have it but isn't PSNow cloud computing? Isn't...

I get that you are saying each console has great games. What I am saying is if all I did all day was play WOW on the PC I would still be a real gamer having never touched any other games.

That is my whole point its not a matter of how many or what games you play/enjoy. Its the ability to play and enjoy any* game of your choosing that makes you a gamer.

*Any != Every

A real gamer would play what they want on whatever they want and not care what others think of them because they do it for the GAMES.

You dont have to own every console ever invented to be a "real" gamer.

4376d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Why real gamers don't need to be told how to game.

There I fixed it for you.
