Crytek has never been able to do that and I think its more due to ignorance... I don't know why they even try with consoles when there PC games aren't even stream lined for pc. They develop for brute force and never made there games look good on mid level machines.
Crytek has always had problems getting the most out of the least. They don't have a great history of making anything look good on mediocre hardware. Crysis was nothing special on X360 or PS3 and that was 4 years after the game released. Many other studios were able to make better looking games with the same hardware.
They are casual gamers... to try something harder, and less about short time entertainment, than they wouldn't be casuals.
So they may have a pathetic attitude but its not like Nintendo didnt use that to push the crap out of the Wii.
