Okay, Namco, if you say so.
We'll be eagerly waiting for you to contradict yourself by releasing games without that DRM. Because, you know, it sucks.
Well, I'm not really surprised at that. In inner-circle MMO forums, betas are more affectionately referred to as "try before you buy".
Betas in MMOs don't exactly perform the same function they used to.
I myself am sort of glad that they're skipping publicity by beta and instead focusing on making the game better.
Perhaps an average review score between TWO reviewers is needed.
People still play Red Alert.
How many of your older console games are still being played WIDELY today? :)
If Valve made Modern Warfare 2, we could expect crowbars and Gravity Guns.
Actually, that sounds pretty fun. Chop-chop Valve, I'm waiting! :)
"Joke's on you, Hudson! This game AIN'T over yet!"
The whole game IS multiplayer, with 4-man co-op instances for story.
That's what M$ said with the Play-n-Tray feature (more in essence of being able to play the game from the tray while you install it), and that never took off. This is just one step further, and I don't see how that's going to work.
Even if done through online means, there will still be loading times of any sort; to assume that we can just "do away with them" ENTIRELY would require a supercomputer that can process commands faster than we can think.
The gameplay looks positively... explosive. :)
This guy needs to be picked up by some devs; he's definitely got some potential if he can make something like that from nothing but imagination and effort.
I do hope they bring it to PC. The first Fable was loads of fun, and hopefully having 3 will bring a new experience to the PC. :)
It could always be "use as many guns as you can carry".
Just throwing that out there; it's always an option. Though ammunition might be a problem...
Excellent. Then we won't have to worry about taking cover, just shooting things up.
Just as the game's name intended.
I liked the article as well.
And to add on top of the argument, horrible ports with buggy controls and glitchy gameplay can kill the game just as easily as piracy can; just another one of many factors to consider, before devs start screaming piracy.
If they did that, I think my head would explode from witnessing sheer awesomeness.
*crosses fingers*
Optimized engine, please. I was quite distraught to find out that they were reusing the Gamebryo engine... again.
...is being developed by Petroglyph; I suppose they would be better known as Westwood Studios.
These guys are sure touting a lot. They literally came out of nowhere with some pretty decent stuff. Looking forward to it.
Deadly Shadows was what actually got me into the whole Thief series in the first place. It came packaged with my mobo about half a dozen years ago and I gave it a whack; fell in love with the game instantly.
It's not bad, just that the other ones are better. I found DS to be lacking in some parts, but the Cradle was indeed awesome.
I paid $30 for my HDMI cable.
I could have bought more than a few games off Steam with that cash.
Natal? PC? What a a royal jest!
