With only one more game this holiday season and March, Sony releasing 6 exclusive AAA title's which puts it on a more level playing field this time I wonder who's more desperate? And Microsoft dropping the price of their premium to £249 + Halo3 the same day Sony releases the 40gb PS3 for £299 desperate or coincidence. And is C-net's Don Resigers final swipe at Sony a feeble attempt to dissuade casual gamers from buying the PS3...

Sorry to correct you but by the time this game comes out the PS3 wil be $399 and will have Home as well as Dualshock 3 so Sonys gamebar will be raised and should also have a much larger userbase by then.

Lets see in 6months what they say about PS3 now that it's going for $399(£299) with home, dualshock 3, Uncharted, rachet and clank, unreal tournament 3, GT5: prolouge, little big planet, Killzone 2, Metal gear solid 4, FF13 e.t.c. When this lot come make your analisis then.
Halo is simply not in the same league as this game

If anything Paying £425($850)+ Bundle £170's ($340's) worth was value for money to me, and I'll tell you why.
1) The cheapest stand alone bluray player Was £499 ($1000), and lacked firmware upgrade or BD java capable and couldn't output hdmi 1.3a.
2) Backwards compatibility to PS2/Ps1 games which the new model doesn't have.
3)20 more gigabytes and two more USB ports and memory cards slots.

By this time next year expect titles like the new getaway & god of war3, those games should be awesome.
